The Obama administration told U.S. owned Hawker Beechcraft earlier this week
they are being excluded from bidding on the US Air Force contract for a light
attack aircraft. That leaves Brazilian owned Embracer as the likely recipient of
the lucrative deal. I found this one hard to believe so I did a little research.
It was tough because this was completely ignored by the main stream media. The
information is out there on several conservative sites. Please see the two
articles linked below.
This is a double slap in the face of the United States. At a time when jobs, the
economy, and security are the most critical priorities for our country, the
Obama administration decides to send a defense contract to a foreign owned
company.
This has to be the stupidest thing this administration has done to date. This is
not just a dumb decision, it is a perfect example of why this president is such
a poor leader. He talks about wanting jobs. He says we need to force companies
to repatriate billions of dollars that Americans keep overseas. He wants to
raise taxes so he can spend billions on stimulus that does nothing to stimulate
anything.
And when it’s time to act, he sends our tax dollars overseas at the expense of
American jobs and income for an American company. This is nothing more than a
Chicago-style political pay back; but this time it is at the expense of our
national security.
How much more damage will Obama be allowed to do in the next 14 months? One of
the lead stories in the media this week blasted congress for insider trading. If
this contract goes to Embracer it will be a huge pay off to another George Soros
company.
When will the 4th estate do it’s constitutionally protected job and expose the
real Obama to the American people?

It is now being called Obama's Fault, though Obama will say it's really Bush's Fault. The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds) took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple! The people demanded it. That was in 1971...before computers, before e-mail, before cell phones, etc.
Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took 1 year or less to become the law of the land...all because of public pressure.

I'm asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise.
In three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed around.
Congressional Reform Act of 2011
1. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/12.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message. Maybe it is time.

Interesting email that was sent to me by a friend who knows..

Here's something to think about . .. .
I remember asking dad about Castro when I was about 9 years old. I asked, "Is
Castro a good guy or bad?"
Dad said he couldn't tell!! This was about 1955. We were living in
Louisiana at the time. Dad was in the army there.
Cuba was fairly close and in the news a lot. The Cubans were asking the same
question! Ike was president.
This past July, we had the pleasure of sharing a summer barbecue with a refugee
from Cuba. Our dinner conversation was starkly different than most.
This refugee came to the United States as a young boy in the early 1960s. His
family was more fortunate than most as they were able to bring a suitcase and
$100 when they fled Castro's newly formed revolutionary paradise.
Our dinner consisted of all-American fare: hamburgers, potato salad, watermelon
and fresh ears of sweet corn. This is a menu shared with family and friends
nationwide, while celebrating the birth of our beloved America on the Fourth of
July.
We began with a simple discussion about our country and the direction it has
taken since Barack Obama came to power. We shared the usual complaints about
the sour economy and liberal social engineering emanating from the rulers in
Washington.
But then he said it. The sentence came naturally. I assume it was unplanned.
But it carried the weight of a freight train. "You know when Castro took
power, none of us knew he was a Communist."
We sat stunned. He continued, "Yes, we all thought he was a patriot,
a nationalist. Before the revolution he didn't sound like a radical."
The comparison at this point was easy, and I interjected, "You mean just like
Barack Obama?"
He responded; "Yes, just like Barack Obama."
He continued, "We were all shocked as the government just continued to
grab more
power. First they said the revolution is over, so please turn in your
guns. We
all complied."
"I remember my uncle saying after it started; 'Castro will only
nationalize some
of the big industries, he will never come and take our family hardware store.'
But that is exactly what happened; Castro started with the sugar mills and the
large industries, but they eventually came and knocked on the door of our
family hardware store. My family had run this store for generations.
They said
we now own the hardware store, you work for us. And that nice, large
four-bedroom home you own, it is now our property also, and you can move
yourself and five children into two rooms of the house because others
are moving
in with you."
The lesson learned from this discussion is a lesson most Americans refuse to
hear. Political leaders can lie about their agenda and once in office they can
take totally unexpected turns.
If you had asked us three years ago if we thought General Motors would be
nationalized, we would have never believed it. We could never contemplate a
country where the rule of law, the most fundamental building block of a justice
society would be evaporating just like it did in Castro's Cuba in the early
1960s.
But the news of injustice keeps increasing.. Black Panthers are not charged
with wrongdoing by the U.S. Department of Justice because their crimes are
against whites. The bondholders of GM are stripped of their assets without due
process by the government. Governmental leaders are bribed in full daylight
only to have all investigation of the crimes stifled by the Attorney General.
The U.S. borders are overrun with crime and illegal activity and the
leaders in
D.C. act as if it is important to protect the lawbreakers while the
innocent are
killed and overrun. When local communities attempt to enforce the
law, they are
ridiculed and threatened as racists and bigots. They are sued by the
very administration entrusted with enforcing the law.
Without the rule of law the U.S. Constitution is a sham. Without the rule of
law our beloved America is swiftly becoming a country where only the well
connected and politically powerful will be safe. As Michelle Malkin has so
eloquently explained in her recent book, a culture of corruption has replaced
honest government..

When a Veteran leaves the ‘job’ and retires to another life of work,
many are jealous, some are pleased, and others, who may have already
retired, wonder if he knows what he is leaving behind, because we
already know.

1. We know, for example, that after all of the camaraderie that few
experience, it will remain as a longing for those past times.

2. We know in the Military life there is a fellowship which lasts long
after the uniforms are hung up in the back of the closet.

3. We know even if he throws them away, they will be on him with every
step and breath that remains in his life. We also know how the very
bearing of the man speaks of what he was and in his heart still is.

These are the burdens of the job. You will still look at people
suspiciously, still see what others do not see or choose to ignore and
always will look at the rest of the Military world with a respect for
what they do; only grown in a lifetime of knowing.
Never think for one moment you are escaping from that life. You are only
escaping the ‘job’ and merely being allowed to leave ‘active’ duty.

So what I wish for you is that whenever you ease into retirement, in
your heart you never forget for one moment that you are still a member
of the greatest fraternity the world has ever known.

Opinion polls . . . . Just whose “OPINION” do they reflect anyway?

Has anyone ever called you to ask you to participate in one of those so-called “Opinion Polls”?

If they have, have you listened to just how the questions are worded to elicit a specific answer?

Back during the campaign time for this last mid-term election, John McCain was really worried about losing his long held U.S. Senate seat. So he had all the registered republicans in the state “Polled” via telephone and each of the questions began with “Do you agree or disagree with Senator McCain's position that . . . . . “ and each question was very pointedly finished in a manner that any Republican would agree with, that is unless they weren’t really a true Republican. After each so-called “Poll”, about three days later, the local news stations and newspapers would run a story on how more Arizonans agreed with John McCain’s position on one thing or another than his opponents.

I am a registered Republican and I received about a half dozen of these calls, and since I do not like talking to an automated phone polling machine I would ask if I could talk to a real person, which confused the machine so much that it would eventually hang up on me and never did get MY personal opinion on Senator McCain’s performance since he has been in the Senate.

I have some, but not many, liberal friends and they tell me that most of the liberals have received polling questions in almost the exact same manner.

So, MY question is this – JUST WHO’S OPINION ARE THEY LOOKING FOR ANYWAY?

Arizona . . . We have a REAL problem!!!!

After all the votes have been finally counted, it seems that proposition 203 has finally passed . . . even after all but three counties defeated it.

What? Only three counties passed it, and those three counties had enough votes to override the rest of the state? What is wrong with THAT picture?

It was just last weekend that Fox 10 Phoenix ran a story on how the ballots were being counted, and as I recall the person in charge of the ballot counting stated that the people counting the ballots were instructed to determine what the voters intent was if the ballot was unreadable. There in lies the problem. These ballots are huge paper ballots that you fill in an oval next to the choice that you want – one next to the yes, and one next to the no. Even a six year old child could do that, so to me if it was “unreadable” then it should not be counted at all.

I just do not understand how ANYONE could be confused over that initiative since it received more local and national publicity than Obama did when he ran his two year campaign for president!

Here is how it came out; If you wanted to get high with a doctors prescription, vote YES. If not, then vote NO.

How confusing could that be?

I think that Arizona DPS needs to start an investigation into just HOW these ballots were counted.

One other thing; Just WHAT is a “Provisional” ballot, and WHY do we have them?

FYI – Smoking MJ does NOT cure anything. It just gets you high. And to my knowledge there has NEVER been an FDA scientific study to determine the benefits (if anything other than getting someone high if you want to call THAT a benefit) of smoking MJ.

U..S. House & Senate have voted themselves $4,700 and $5,300 raises.
They voted to NOT give you a S.S. Cost of living raise in 2010 and 2011.
Your Medicare premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2-years
You will not get the 3% COLA: $660/yr.
Your total 2-yr loss and cost is -$1,600 or -$3,200 for husband and wife.
Over these same 2-years each Congress person will get $10,000
Do you feel used?
Will they have your cost of drugs - doctor fees - local taxes - food, etc., decrease?
NO WAY.

Congress received a raise and has better health and retirement benefits than you or I.

Why should they care about you?
You never did anything about it in the past.

Send the message to these individuals --- YOU'RE FIRED!

In 2010 you will have a chance to get rid of the sitting Congress: up to 1/3 of the Senate and 100% of the House!

Make sure you're still mad in November 2010 and remind their replacements not to screw-up.

It is ok to forward this to your sphere of influence if you are finally tired of the abuse. Maybe it's time for Amendment 28 to the Constitution.

The entire room was held spellbound during his talk. I have summarized his comments, as we are living in uncharted waters economically and internationally. Even 2 Dems at my table agreed with everything he said! If you feel like forwarding this to those who are open minded and have not drunk the Kool-Aid, feel free...
                     Summary of his comments:
                     1. Mr. Obama is a very intellectual, charming individual. He is not to be underestimated. He is a cool customer who doesn't show his emotions. It's very hard to know what's behind the mask. The taking down of the Clinton dynasty was an amazing accomplishment. The Clintons still do not understand what hit them. Obama was in the perfect place at the perfect time.
                     2. Obama has political skills comparable to Reagan and Clinton. He has a way of making you think he's on your side, agreeing with your position, while doing the opposite. Pay no attention to what he SAYS; rather, watch what he DOES!
                     3. Obama has a ruthless quest for power. He did not come to Washington to make something out of himself, but rather to change everything, including dismantling capitalism. He can't be straightforward on his ambitions, as the public would not go along. He has a heavy hand, and wants to level the playing field with income redistribution and punishment to the achievers of society. He would like to model the USA to Great Britain or Canada.
                     4. His three main goals are to control ENERGY, PUBLIC EDUCATION, and NATIONAL HEALTHCARE by the Federal government. He doesn't care about the auto or financial services industries, but got them as an early bonus. The cap and trade will add costs to everything and stifle growth. Government paying for everyone's FREE college education is his goal. Most scary is his healthcare program, because if you make it FREE and add 46,000,000 people to a Medicare-type single-payer system, the costs will go through the roof. The only way to control costs is with massive RATIONING of services, like in Canada. God forbid!
                     5. He has surrounded himself with mostly far-left academic types, many with very radical backgrounds. No one around him has ever even run a candy store. But they are going to try and run the auto, financial, banking and other industries. This obviously can't work in the long run. Obama is not a socialist; rather he's a far-left secular progressive bent on nothing short of revolution. He ran as a moderate, but will govern from the hard left. Again, watch what he does, not what he says.
                     6. Obama doesn't really see himself as President of the United States, but more as a ruler over the world. He sees himself above it all, trying to orchestrate & coordinate various countries and their agendas. He sees moral equivalency in all cultures. His apology tour in Germany, England and the Middle East was a prime example of how he sees America, as an imperialist nation that has been arrogant, rather than a great noble nation that has at times made errors. This is the first President ever who has chastised our allies and appeased our enemies!
                     7. He is now handing out goodies. He hopes that the bill (and pain) will not come due until after he is reelected in 2012. He would like to blame all problems on Bush from the past, and misguided uncooperative Republicans in the future. He has a huge ego, and Dr. Krauthammer believes he is a narcissist.
                     8. Republicans are in the wilderness for a while, but will emerge strong. Republicans are pining for another Reagan, but there will never be another like him. Krauthammer believes Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty & Bobby Jindahl (except for his terrible speech last February) are the future of the party. Newt Gingrich is brilliant, but has baggage. Sarah Palin is sincere and intelligent, but needs to really be seriously boning up on facts and info if she is to be a serious candidate in the future... We need to return to the party of lower taxes, smaller government, personal responsibility, strong national defense, and state's rights.
9. The current level of spending is irresponsible and outrageous. We are spending trillions that we don't have. This could lead to hyperinflation, depression or worse. No country has ever spent themselves into prosperity. The media is giving Obama, Reid and Pelosi a pass because they love their agenda. But eventually the bill will come due and people will realize the huge bailouts didn't work, nor will the stimulus package.These were trillion-dollar payoffs to Obama's allies, unions and the Congress to placate the left, so he can get support for #4 above.
                     10. The election was over in mid-September when Lehman brothers failed, fear and panic swept in, we had an unpopular President, and the war was grinding on indefinitely without a clear outcome. The people are in pain, and the mantra of change caused people to act emotionally. Any Dem would have won this election; it was surprising it was as close as it was.
                     11. In 2012, if the unemployment rate is over 10%, Republicans will be swept back into power. If it's under 8%, the Dems continue to roll. If it's between 8-10%, it will be a dogfight. It will all be about the economy. There is a left-wing revolution going on, according to Krauthammer, and he encourages us to keep the faith and join the loyal resistance. The work will be hard, but we're right on most issues and can reclaim our country, before it's far too late.
I hope this gets you really thinking about what's happening in Washington and Congress.

All our futures and children's futures depend on our good understanding of what is really going on in DC, and our action pursuant to that understanding!! It really IS up to each of us to take individual action!! Start with educating your friends and neighbors!!!

Arizona immigration law decision:

I. What is enjoined

1. Requiring verification of immigration status: Requiring that an officer make a reasonable attempt to determine the immigration status of a person stopped, detained or arrested if there is a reasonable suspicion that the person is unlawfully present in the United States, and requiring verification of the immigration status of any person arrested prior to releasing that person.

Reasoning: Pre-empted by federal law because it creates an additional burden on the federal government by increasing the number of immigration-verification requests to the federal government.

2. Failure to carry immigration papers: Creating a crime for the failure to apply for or carry alien registration papers.

Reasoning: Pre-empted as an impermissible attempt to create its own state immigration scheme by altering the penalties established by Congress under the federal registration scheme.

3. Illegal for an illegal to solicit work: Creating a crime for an unauthorized alien to solicit, apply for or perform work.

Reasoning: Pre-empted because there is a comprehensive federal scheme regulating employment of illegal immigrants.

4. Warrantless arrest for potentially removable alien: Authorizing the warrantless arrest of a person where there is probable cause to believe the person has committed a public offense that makes the person removable from the United States.

Reasoning: Pre-empted because determining whether a specific offense makes an alien removable is a tough decision and there is "a substantial likelihood that officers will wrongfully arrest legal resident aliens," thus impermissibly burdening legal aliens (and only the federal government can impose such burdens)

II. What is not enjoined?

1. No sanctuary cities: Prohibiting Arizona officials, agencies and political subdivisions from limiting enforcement of federal immigration laws.

2. Requiring cooperation with federal authorities: Requiring that state officials work with federal officials with regard to unlawfully present aliens.

3. Permitting civil suits for sanctuary cities: Allowing legal residents to sue any state official, agency or political subdivision for adopting a policy of restricting enforcement of federal immigration laws to less than the full extent permitted by federal law.

4. Human smuggling crimes: Amending the crime of human smuggling.

5. Crime to pick up day laborers: Creating a crime for stopping a motor vehicle to pick up day laborers and for day laborers to get in a motor vehicle if it impedes the normal movement of traffic.

6. Knowing/intentional employment of illegal immigrants: Amending the crime of knowing employment of unauthorized aliens. Amending the crime of intentional employment of unauthorized aliens.

7. Employee verification: Amending the requirements for checking employment eligibility.

8. Funding for gang / immigrant enforcement: Creating the gang and immigration intelligence team enforcement mission fund.

Welcome to Maywood, Mexico (California)

Boasting a population that is 97% Hispanic, more than half foreign born, and 40% illegal, the Los Angeles County, Calif., incorporated city of Maywood has achieved the Reconquista goal. It is now as lawless and chaotic as any place in Mexico. Maywood is a warning to every city and town in America.

The Maywood City Council announced this week that after years of radical policies, corruption and scandal, the city was broke and all city employees would be laid off and essential city services contracted out to neighboring cities or to L.A. County government.

How did this happen? Until recently, Maywood was the model for "brown power" politics.

Maywood was the first California city with an elected Hispanic City Council, one of the first "sanctuary" cities for illegal aliens, the first city to pass a resolution calling for a boycott of Arizona after that state passed a law to enforce federal immigration laws, the first California city to order its police department not to enforce state laws requiring drivers to have licenses to drive, the first American city to call on Congress to grant amnesty to all illegals.

Council meetings were conducted in Spanish. Maywood was the leader in the peaceful, democratic achievement of the La Raza goal to take power in the U.S.

The City of Maywood started out quite differently. Back after World War II, Maywood was a booming blue-collar town with good jobs, a multi-ethnic suburb of Los Angeles.

On the 25th anniversary in 1949 of Maywood's incorporation as a city, the town celebrated with a beard-growing contest, a rodeo, and wrestling matches in City Park. Chrysler operated an assembly plant there until 1971.

But the early 1970s saw these industrial jobs in aerospace, auto and furniture manufacturing, and food processing evaporate under the pressure of higher taxes, increased local and state regulation, and the attraction of cheaper land and cheaper labor elsewhere.

The multi-ethnic Maywood of the post-war years was transformed in the ’80s and ’90s by wave after wave of Hispanic immigrants, many of them illegal.

In August 2006, a "Save Our State" anti-illegal immigration rally in Maywood drew hundreds of protesters—but a larger number of defenders of illegal immigration. The pro-illegal protesters carried signs which read "We are Indigenous ! The ONLY owners of this Continent!" and "Racist Pilgrims Go Home" and "All Europeans are Illegal Here."

According to newspaper reports at the time, objectors to illegal aliens were subject to physical attacks. A 70-year-old man was "slashed," a woman attacked, and cars vandalized. Pro-illegal demonstrators raised the Mexican flag at the U.S. Post Office.

The illegal population and their sympathizers became increasingly radicalized. Elections to the City Council saw "assimilationist" incumbent Hispanic council members ousted by La Raza supporting radical challengers.

For years, the Maywood City Council authorized police checkpoints to stop drunk driving. Drivers without licenses had their cars impounded. Illegals in California cannot get drivers licenses. By 2005, the number of such impounds were in the hundreds. A community campaign was launched forcing the City Council to suspend the checkpoints.

Cars were still being impounded whenever a police traffic-violation stop resulted in a driver without a license. Felipe Aguirre, a community activist with Comite Pro-Uno, an "immigration service center," coordinated a new campaign against any impounds. He was elected in 2005 to the City Council. He is the mayor of Maywood today.

Aguirre and a new majority of the council dismantled the Traffic Department. Illegals were given overnight-parking permits and impounds stopped. You didn't need a license to drive in Maywood. The Los Angeles Times wrote glowingly of this "progress" in a story entitled "Welcome to Maywood, Where Roads Open Up For Immigrants".

The Maywood Police Department was restructured by the new council. A new chief and new officers were hired. Later it turned out that many of the new officers had previously been fired from other law enforcement agencies for a variety of infractions. The Maywood P.D. was known as the "Department of Second Chances."

Among those hired was a former L.A. Sheriff's deputy terminated for abusing jail inmates; a former LAPD officer fired for intimidating a witness; and an ex-Huntington Park officer charged with negligently discharging a handgun and driving drunk.

Even the L.A. Times called the Maywood Police Department a "haven for misfit cops." Their story alleged that a veteran officer was extorting sex from relatives of a criminal fugitive; that another officer tried to run over the president of the Maywood Police Commission; and that another officer has impregnated a teenage police-explorer scout.

Charges of corruption and favoritism led to one recall of city council members and threats of more recalls are heard to this day.

Maywood is represented in the state Senate by Democrat "One Bill" Gil Cedillo. He earned the nickname by introducing every year in the state legislature a bill to grant drivers licenses to illegals. Maywood is represented in Congress by Democrat Lucille Roybal-Allard, a staunch advocate of amnesty for illegals.

Today, Maywood is broke. Its police department dismantled along with all other city departments and personnel. Only the city council remains and a city manager to manage the contracts with other agencies for city services in Maywood.

Maywood is the warning of what happens when illegal immigrants, resisting assimilation as Americans, bring with their growing numbers the corruption and the radical politics of their home countries. Add the radical home-grown anti-Americanism of Hispanic "leaders" and groups like La Raza and you get schools where learning is replaced with indoctrination, business and jobs replaced by welfare and gangs, and a poisonous stew of entitlement politics.

In too many American communities, this sad tale is all too familiar.

Here I sit, dejected, disillusioned, disappointed, and damned angry!

I have found out that the Republican National Committee has chosen Tampa, FL to have their National Convention instead of Phoenix, AZ. They have chosen a city as far away from Phoenix , and Arizona’s SB1070, as they could physically get. I am sure that their reasons will be stated otherwise, but their actions do speak louder and much more truthful than any of their words can describe.

The Republican Party, no matter what any Republican candidate will ever tell you, now supports the open border policy and the drug trafficking that it stands for.

The Republican Party, no matter what any Republican candidate will ever tell you, now supports the blanket amnesty and automatic citizenship to any and all who will break our laws by entering this country illegally.

By this action, the Republican Party has finally decided to show its true colors and it is now forevermore to be known as the RINO Party . . . The Republican In Name Only Party!

I urge everyone who reads this BLOG, if you belong to the Republican Party, to look for and join a different political party that more closely is aligned to your personal political views and beliefs. And to also write, call, or email the RNC and your local Republican candidates as to the reason or reasons why you are changing your political affiliations. They need to know the source of your anger, they need to know that We The People are not going to put up with any more BS from political parties that will not take our best interests to heart. Then you need to email all of your friends and relatives who are Republicans to do the same thing. Once they start seeing the mass exodus from their defective party maybe they will get the hint since from what I can see the TEA party movement is basically being ignored by all the major politicians and their parties.

Incidentally, I was a Democrat until 1968 and that party put up George McGovern as their candidate for POTUS. I have been a Republican ever since. Now I have to find another political affiliation to gravitate to, and believe me . . . the pickings are very slim indeed!

Will I be able to post my new party before the Primary election this August? (I am an Arizona Resident) . . . I have no idea, but I will give it my best shot.

3 The legislature finds that there is a compelling interest in the
4 cooperative enforcement of federal immigration laws throughout all of
5 Arizona. The legislature declares that the intent of this act is to make
6 attrition through enforcement the public policy of all state and local
7 government agencies in Arizona. The provisions of this act are intended to
8 work together to discourage and deter the unlawful entry and presence of
9 aliens and economic activity by persons unlawfully present in the United
10 States.
11 Sec. 2. Title 11, chapter 7, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by
12 adding article 8, to read:
13 ARTICLE 8. ENFORCEMENT OF IMMIGRATION LAWS
14 11-1051. Cooperation and assistance in enforcement of

7 PROTECTION PURSUANT TO 8 UNITED STATES CODE SECTION 1373(c).
8 C. A PERSON WHO IS SENTENCED PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION IS NOT ELIGIBLE
9 FOR SUSPENSION OR COMMUTATION OF SENTENCE OR RELEASE ON ANY BASIS UNTIL THE
10 SENTENCE IMPOSED IS SERVED.
11 D. IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER PENALTY PRESCRIBED BY LAW, THE COURT SHALL
12 ORDER THE PERSON TO PAY JAIL COSTS AND AN ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENT IN THE
13 FOLLOWING AMOUNTS:
14 1. AT LEAST FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR A FIRST VIOLATION.
15 2. TWICE THE AMOUNT SPECIFIED IN PARAGRAPH 1 OF THIS SUBSECTION IF THE
16 PERSON WAS PREVIOUSLY SUBJECT TO AN ASSESSMENT PURSUANT TO THIS SUBSECTION.
17 E. A COURT SHALL COLLECT THE ASSESSMENTS PRESCRIBED IN SUBSECTION D OF
18 THIS SECTION AND REMIT THE ASSESSMENTS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY,
19 WHICH SHALL ESTABLISH A SPECIAL SUBACCOUNT FOR THE MONIES IN THE ACCOUNT
20 ESTABLISHED FOR THE GANG AND IMMIGRATION INTELLIGENCE TEAM ENFORCEMENT
21 MISSION APPROPRIATION. MONIES IN THE SPECIAL SUBACCOUNT ARE SUBJECT TO
22 LEGISLATIVE APPROPRIATION FOR DISTRIBUTION FOR GANG AND IMMIGRATION
23 ENFORCEMENT AND FOR COUNTY JAIL REIMBURSEMENT COSTS RELATING TO ILLEGAL
24 IMMIGRATION.
25 F. THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO A PERSON WHO MAINTAINS AUTHORIZATION
26 FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO REMAIN IN THE UNITED STATES.
27 G. A VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION IS A CLASS 1 MISDEMEANOR, EXCEPT THAT A
28 VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION IS:
29 1. A CLASS 3 FELONY IF THE PERSON VIOLATES THIS SECTION WHILE IN
30 POSSESSION OF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
31 (a) A DANGEROUS DRUG AS DEFINED IN SECTION 13-3401.
32 (b) PRECURSOR CHEMICALS THAT ARE USED IN THE MANUFACTURING OF
33 METHAMPHETAMINE IN VIOLATION OF SECTION 13-3404.01.
34 (c) A DEADLY WEAPON OR A DANGEROUS INSTRUMENT, AS DEFINED IN SECTION
35 13-105.
36 (d) PROPERTY THAT IS USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF COMMITTING AN ACT OF
37 TERRORISM AS PRESCRIBED IN SECTION 13-2308.01.
38 2. A CLASS 4 FELONY IF THE PERSON EITHER:
39 (a) IS CONVICTED OF A SECOND OR SUBSEQUENT VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION.
40 (b) WITHIN SIXTY MONTHS BEFORE THE VIOLATION, HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM
41 THE UNITED STATES PURSUANT TO 8 UNITED STATES CODE SECTION 1229a OR HAS
42 ACCEPTED A VOLUNTARY REMOVAL FROM THE UNITED STATES PURSUANT TO 8 UNITED
43 STATES CODE SECTION 1229c.

1 Sec. 4. Section 13-2319, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
2 13-2319. Smuggling; classification; definitions
3 A. It is unlawful for a person to intentionally engage in the
4 smuggling of human beings for profit or commercial purpose.
5 B. A violation of this section is a class 4 felony.
6 C. Notwithstanding subsection B of this section, a violation of this
7 section:
8 1. Is a class 2 felony if the human being who is smuggled is under
9 eighteen years of age and is not accompanied by a family member over eighteen
10 years of age or the offense involved the use of a deadly weapon or dangerous
11 instrument.
12 2. Is a class 3 felony if the offense involves the use or threatened
13 use of deadly physical force and the person is not eligible for suspension of
14 sentence, probation, pardon or release from confinement on any other basis
15 except pursuant to section 31-233, subsection A or B until the sentence
16 imposed by the court is served, the person is eligible for release pursuant
17 to section 41-1604.07 or the sentence is commuted.
18 D. Chapter 10 of this title does not apply to a violation of
19 subsection C, paragraph 1 of this section.
20 E. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER LAW, A PEACE OFFICER MAY LAWFULLY STOP
21 ANY PERSON WHO IS OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE IF THE OFFICER HAS REASONABLE
22 SUSPICION TO BELIEVE THE PERSON IS IN VIOLATION OF ANY CIVIL TRAFFIC LAW AND
23 THIS SECTION.
24 E. F. For the purposes of this section:
25 1. "Family member" means the person's parent, grandparent, sibling or
26 any other person who is related to the person by consanguinity or affinity to
27 the second degree.
28 2. "Procurement of transportation" means any participation in or
29 facilitation of transportation and includes:
30 (a) Providing services that facilitate transportation including travel
31 arrangement services or money transmission services.
32 (b) Providing property that facilitates transportation, including a
33 weapon, a vehicle or other means of transportation or false identification,
34 or selling, leasing, renting or otherwise making available a drop house as
35 defined in section 13-2322.
36 3. "Smuggling of human beings" means the transportation, procurement
37 of transportation or use of property or real property by a person or an
38 entity that knows or has reason to know that the person or persons
39 transported or to be transported are not United States citizens, permanent
40 resident aliens or persons otherwise lawfully in this state or have attempted
41 to enter, entered or remained in the United States in violation of law.

1 Sec. 5. Title 13, chapter 29, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by
2 adding sections 13-2928 and 13-2929, to read:
3 13-2928. Unlawful stopping to hire and pick up passengers for
4 work; unlawful application, solicitation or
5 employment; classification; definitions
6 A. IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR AN OCCUPANT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE THAT IS STOPPED
7 ON A STREET, ROADWAY OR HIGHWAY TO ATTEMPT TO HIRE OR HIRE AND PICK UP
8 PASSENGERS FOR WORK AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION IF THE MOTOR VEHICLE BLOCKS OR
9 IMPEDES THE NORMAL MOVEMENT OF TRAFFIC.
10 B. IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR A PERSON TO ENTER A MOTOR VEHICLE THAT IS
11 STOPPED ON A STREET, ROADWAY OR HIGHWAY IN ORDER TO BE HIRED BY AN OCCUPANT
12 OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE AND TO BE TRANSPORTED TO WORK AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION IF
13 THE MOTOR VEHICLE BLOCKS OR IMPEDES THE NORMAL MOVEMENT OF TRAFFIC.
14 C. IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR A PERSON WHO IS UNLAWFULLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED
15 STATES AND WHO IS AN UNAUTHORIZED ALIEN TO KNOWINGLY APPLY FOR WORK, SOLICIT
16 WORK IN A PUBLIC PLACE OR PERFORM WORK AS AN EMPLOYEE OR INDEPENDENT
17 CONTRACTOR IN THIS STATE.
18 D. A VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION IS A CLASS 1 MISDEMEANOR.
19 E. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION:
20 1. "SOLICIT" MEANS VERBAL OR NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION BY A GESTURE OR A
21 NOD THAT WOULD INDICATE TO A REASONABLE PERSON THAT A PERSON IS WILLING TO BE
22 EMPLOYED.
23 2. "UNAUTHORIZED ALIEN" MEANS AN ALIEN WHO DOES NOT HAVE THE LEGAL
24 RIGHT OR AUTHORIZATION UNDER FEDERAL LAW TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES AS
25 DESCRIBED IN 8 UNITED STATES CODE SECTION 1324a(h)(3).
26 13-2929. Unlawful transporting, moving, concealing, harboring
27 or shielding of unlawful aliens; vehicle
28 impoundment; classification
29 A. IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR A PERSON WHO IS IN VIOLATION OF A CRIMINAL
30 OFFENSE TO:
31 1. TRANSPORT OR MOVE OR ATTEMPT TO TRANSPORT OR MOVE AN ALIEN IN THIS
32 STATE IN A MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION IF THE PERSON KNOWS OR RECKLESSLY
33 DISREGARDS THE FACT THAT THE ALIEN HAS COME TO, HAS ENTERED OR REMAINS IN THE
34 UNITED STATES IN VIOLATION OF LAW.
35 2. CONCEAL, HARBOR OR SHIELD OR ATTEMPT TO CONCEAL, HARBOR OR SHIELD
36 AN ALIEN FROM DETECTION IN ANY PLACE IN THIS STATE, INCLUDING ANY BUILDING OR
37 ANY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION, IF THE PERSON KNOWS OR RECKLESSLY DISREGARDS THE
38 FACT THAT THE ALIEN HAS COME TO, HAS ENTERED OR REMAINS IN THE UNITED STATES
39 IN VIOLATION OF LAW.
40 3. ENCOURAGE OR INDUCE AN ALIEN TO COME TO OR RESIDE IN THIS STATE IF
41 THE PERSON KNOWS OR RECKLESSLY DISREGARDS THE FACT THAT SUCH COMING TO,
42 ENTERING OR RESIDING IN THIS STATE IS OR WILL BE IN VIOLATION OF LAW.
43 B. A MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION THAT IS USED IN THE COMMISSION OF A
44 VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION IS SUBJECT TO MANDATORY VEHICLE IMMOBILIZATION OR
45 IMPOUNDMENT PURSUANT TO SECTION 28-3511.

4 A CLASS 6 FELONY AND THE PERSON IS SUBJECT TO A FINE OF AT LEAST ONE THOUSAND
5 DOLLARS FOR EACH ALIEN WHO IS INVOLVED.
6 Sec. 6. Section 23-212, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
7 23-212. Knowingly employing unauthorized aliens; prohibition;
8 false and frivolous complaints; violation;
9 classification; license suspension and revocation;
10 affirmative defense
11 A. An employer shall not knowingly employ an unauthorized alien. If,
12 in the case when an employer uses a contract, subcontract or other
13 independent contractor agreement to obtain the labor of an alien in this
14 state, the employer knowingly contracts with an unauthorized alien or with a
15 person who employs or contracts with an unauthorized alien to perform the
16 labor, the employer violates this subsection.
17 B. The attorney general shall prescribe a complaint form for a person
18 to allege a violation of subsection A of this section. The complainant shall
19 not be required to list the complainant's social security number on the
20 complaint form or to have the complaint form notarized. On receipt of a
21 complaint on a prescribed complaint form that an employer allegedly knowingly
22 employs an unauthorized alien, the attorney general or county attorney shall
23 investigate whether the employer has violated subsection A of this section.
24 If a complaint is received but is not submitted on a prescribed complaint
25 form, the attorney general or county attorney may investigate whether the
26 employer has violated subsection A of this section. This subsection shall
27 not be construed to prohibit the filing of anonymous complaints that are not
28 submitted on a prescribed complaint form. The attorney general or county
29 attorney shall not investigate complaints that are based solely on race,
30 color or national origin. A complaint that is submitted to a county attorney
31 shall be submitted to the county attorney in the county in which the alleged
32 unauthorized alien is or was employed by the employer. The county sheriff or
33 any other local law enforcement agency may assist in investigating a
34 complaint. When investigating a complaint, the attorney general or county
35 attorney shall verify the work authorization of the alleged unauthorized
36 alien with the federal government pursuant to 8 United States Code section
37 1373(c). A state, county or local official shall not attempt to
38 independently make a final determination on whether an alien is authorized to
39 work in the United States. An alien's immigration status or work
40 authorization status shall be verified with the federal government pursuant
41 to 8 United States Code section 1373(c). A person who knowingly files a
42 false and frivolous complaint under this subsection is guilty of a class 3
43 misdemeanor.

1 C. If, after an investigation, the attorney general or county attorney
2 determines that the complaint is not false and frivolous:
3 1. The attorney general or county attorney shall notify the United
4 States immigration and customs enforcement of the unauthorized alien.
5 2. The attorney general or county attorney shall notify the local law
6 enforcement agency of the unauthorized alien.
7 3. The attorney general shall notify the appropriate county attorney
8 to bring an action pursuant to subsection D of this section if the complaint
9 was originally filed with the attorney general.
10 D. An action for a violation of subsection A of this section shall be
11 brought against the employer by the county attorney in the county where the
12 unauthorized alien employee is or was employed by the employer. The county
13 attorney shall not bring an action against any employer for any violation of
14 subsection A of this section that occurs before January 1, 2008. A second
15 violation of this section shall be based only on an unauthorized alien who is
16 or was employed by the employer after an action has been brought for a
17 violation of subsection A of this section or section 23-212.01, subsection A.
18 E. For any action in superior court under this section, the court
19 shall expedite the action, including assigning the hearing at the earliest
20 practicable date.
21 F. On a finding of a violation of subsection A of this section:
22 1. For a first violation, as described in paragraph 3 of this
23 subsection, the court:
24 (a) Shall order the employer to terminate the employment of all
25 unauthorized aliens.
26 (b) Shall order the employer to be subject to a three year
27 probationary period for the business location where the unauthorized alien
28 performed work. During the probationary period the employer shall file
29 quarterly reports in the form provided in section 23-722.01 with the county
30 attorney of each new employee who is hired by the employer at the business
31 location where the unauthorized alien performed work.
32 (c) Shall order the employer to file a signed sworn affidavit with the
33 county attorney within three business days after the order is issued. The
34 affidavit shall state that the employer has terminated the employment of all
35 unauthorized aliens in this state and that the employer will not
36 intentionally or knowingly employ an unauthorized alien in this state. The
37 court shall order the appropriate agencies to suspend all licenses subject to
38 this subdivision that are held by the employer if the employer fails to file
39 a signed sworn affidavit with the county attorney within three business days
40 after the order is issued. All licenses that are suspended under this
41 subdivision shall remain suspended until the employer files a signed sworn
42 affidavit with the county attorney. Notwithstanding any other law, on filing
43 of the affidavit the suspended licenses shall be reinstated immediately by
44 the appropriate agencies. For the purposes of this subdivision, the licenses
45 that are subject to suspension under this subdivision are all licenses that

1 are held by the employer specific to the business location where the
2 unauthorized alien performed work. If the employer does not hold a license
3 specific to the business location where the unauthorized alien performed
4 work, but a license is necessary to operate the employer's business in
5 general, the licenses that are subject to suspension under this subdivision
6 are all licenses that are held by the employer at the employer's primary
7 place of business. On receipt of the court's order and notwithstanding any
8 other law, the appropriate agencies shall suspend the licenses according to
9 the court's order. The court shall send a copy of the court's order to the
10 attorney general and the attorney general shall maintain the copy pursuant to
11 subsection G of this section.
12 (d) May order the appropriate agencies to suspend all licenses
13 described in subdivision (c) of this paragraph that are held by the employer
14 for not to exceed ten business days. The court shall base its decision to
15 suspend under this subdivision on any evidence or information submitted to it
16 during the action for a violation of this subsection and shall consider the
17 following factors, if relevant:
18 (i) The number of unauthorized aliens employed by the employer.
19 (ii) Any prior misconduct by the employer.
20 (iii) The degree of harm resulting from the violation.
21 (iv) Whether the employer made good faith efforts to comply with any
22 applicable requirements.
23 (v) The duration of the violation.
24 (vi) The role of the directors, officers or principals of the employer
25 in the violation.
26 (vii) Any other factors the court deems appropriate.
27 2. For a second violation, as described in paragraph 3 of this
28 subsection, the court shall order the appropriate agencies to permanently
29 revoke all licenses that are held by the employer specific to the business
30 location where the unauthorized alien performed work. If the employer does
31 not hold a license specific to the business location where the unauthorized
32 alien performed work, but a license is necessary to operate the employer's
33 business in general, the court shall order the appropriate agencies to
34 permanently revoke all licenses that are held by the employer at the
35 employer's primary place of business. On receipt of the order and
36 notwithstanding any other law, the appropriate agencies shall immediately
37 revoke the licenses.
38 3. The violation shall be considered:
39 (a) A first violation by an employer at a business location if the
40 violation did not occur during a probationary period ordered by the court
41 under this subsection or section 23-212.01, subsection F for that employer's
42 business location.
43 (b) A second violation by an employer at a business location if the
44 violation occurred during a probationary period ordered by the court under

1 this subsection or section 23-212.01, subsection F for that employer's
2 business location.
3 G. The attorney general shall maintain copies of court orders that are
4 received pursuant to subsection F of this section and shall maintain a
5 database of the employers and business locations that have a first violation
6 of subsection A of this section and make the court orders available on the
7 attorney general's website.
8 H. On determining whether an employee is an unauthorized alien, the
9 court shall consider only the federal government's determination pursuant to
10 8 United States Code section 1373(c). The federal government's determination
11 creates a rebuttable presumption of the employee's lawful status. The court
12 may take judicial notice of the federal government's determination and may
13 request the federal government to provide automated or testimonial
14 verification pursuant to 8 United States Code section 1373(c).
15 I. For the purposes of this section, proof of verifying the employment
16 authorization of an employee through the e-verify program creates a
17 rebuttable presumption that an employer did not knowingly employ an
18 unauthorized alien.
19 J. For the purposes of this section, an employer that establishes that
20 it has complied in good faith with the requirements of 8 United States Code
21 section 1324a(b) establishes an affirmative defense that the employer did not
22 knowingly employ an unauthorized alien. An employer is considered to have
23 complied with the requirements of 8 United States Code section 1324a(b),
24 notwithstanding an isolated, sporadic or accidental technical or procedural
25 failure to meet the requirements, if there is a good faith attempt to comply
26 with the requirements.
27 K. IT IS AN AFFIRMATIVE DEFENSE TO A VIOLATION OF SUBSECTION A OF THIS
28 SECTION THAT THE EMPLOYER WAS ENTRAPPED. TO CLAIM ENTRAPMENT, THE EMPLOYER
29 MUST ADMIT BY THE EMPLOYER'S TESTIMONY OR OTHER EVIDENCE THE SUBSTANTIAL
30 ELEMENTS OF THE VIOLATION. AN EMPLOYER WHO ASSERTS AN ENTRAPMENT DEFENSE HAS
31 THE BURDEN OF PROVING THE FOLLOWING BY CLEAR AND CONVINCING EVIDENCE:
32 1. THE IDEA OF COMMITTING THE VIOLATION STARTED WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT
33 OFFICERS OR THEIR AGENTS RATHER THAN WITH THE EMPLOYER.
34 2. THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OR THEIR AGENTS URGED AND INDUCED THE
35 EMPLOYER TO COMMIT THE VIOLATION.
36 3. THE EMPLOYER WAS NOT PREDISPOSED TO COMMIT THE VIOLATION BEFORE THE
37 LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OR THEIR AGENTS URGED AND INDUCED THE EMPLOYER TO
38 COMMIT THE VIOLATION.
39 L. AN EMPLOYER DOES NOT ESTABLISH ENTRAPMENT IF THE EMPLOYER WAS
40 PREDISPOSED TO VIOLATE SUBSECTION A OF THIS SECTION AND THE LAW ENFORCEMENT
41 OFFICERS OR THEIR AGENTS MERELY PROVIDED THE EMPLOYER WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO
42 COMMIT THE VIOLATION. IT IS NOT ENTRAPMENT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OR
43 THEIR AGENTS MERELY TO USE A RUSE OR TO CONCEAL THEIR IDENTITY. THE CONDUCT
44 OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AND THEIR AGENTS MAY BE CONSIDERED IN DETERMINING
45 IF AN EMPLOYER HAS PROVEN ENTRAPMENT.

7 A. An employer shall not intentionally employ an unauthorized alien.
8 If, in the case when an employer uses a contract, subcontract or other

10 state, the employer intentionally contracts with an unauthorized alien or
11 with a person who employs or contracts with an unauthorized alien to perform
12 the labor, the employer violates this subsection.
13 B. The attorney general shall prescribe a complaint form for a person

15 not be required to list the complainant's social security number on the

13 shall expedite the action, including assigning the hearing at the earliest
14 practicable date.
15 F. On a finding of a violation of subsection A of this section:
16 1. For a first violation, as described in paragraph 3 of this
17 subsection, the court shall:
18 (a) Order the employer to terminate the employment of all unauthorized
19 aliens.
20 (b) Order the employer to be subject to a five year probationary
21 period for the business location where the unauthorized alien performed work.
22 During the probationary period the employer shall file quarterly reports in
23 the form provided in section 23-722.01 with the county attorney of each new
24 employee who is hired by the employer at the business location where the
25 unauthorized alien performed work.
26 (c) Order the appropriate agencies to suspend all licenses described
27 in subdivision (d) of this paragraph that are held by the employer for a
28 minimum of ten days. The court shall base its decision on the length of the
29 suspension under this subdivision on any evidence or information submitted to
30 it during the action for a violation of this subsection and shall consider
31 the following factors, if relevant:
32 (i) The number of unauthorized aliens employed by the employer.
33 (ii) Any prior misconduct by the employer.
34 (iii) The degree of harm resulting from the violation.
35 (iv) Whether the employer made good faith efforts to comply with any
36 applicable requirements.
37 (v) The duration of the violation.
38 (vi) The role of the directors, officers or principals of the employer
39 in the violation.
40 (vii) Any other factors the court deems appropriate.
41 (d) Order the employer to file a signed sworn affidavit with the
42 county attorney. The affidavit shall state that the employer has terminated
43 the employment of all unauthorized aliens in this state and that the employer
44 will not intentionally or knowingly employ an unauthorized alien in this
45 state. The court shall order the appropriate agencies to suspend all

1 licenses subject to this subdivision that are held by the employer if the
2 employer fails to file a signed sworn affidavit with the county attorney
3 within three business days after the order is issued. All licenses that are
4 suspended under this subdivision for failing to file a signed sworn affidavit
5 shall remain suspended until the employer files a signed sworn affidavit with
6 the county attorney. For the purposes of this subdivision, the licenses that
7 are subject to suspension under this subdivision are all licenses that are
8 held by the employer specific to the business location where the unauthorized
9 alien performed work. If the employer does not hold a license specific to
10 the business location where the unauthorized alien performed work, but a
11 license is necessary to operate the employer's business in general, the
12 licenses that are subject to suspension under this subdivision are all
13 licenses that are held by the employer at the employer's primary place of
14 business. On receipt of the court's order and notwithstanding any other law,
15 the appropriate agencies shall suspend the licenses according to the court's
16 order. The court shall send a copy of the court's order to the attorney
17 general and the attorney general shall maintain the copy pursuant to
18 subsection G of this section.
19 2. For a second violation, as described in paragraph 3 of this
20 subsection, the court shall order the appropriate agencies to permanently
21 revoke all licenses that are held by the employer specific to the business
22 location where the unauthorized alien performed work. If the employer does
23 not hold a license specific to the business location where the unauthorized
24 alien performed work, but a license is necessary to operate the employer's
25 business in general, the court shall order the appropriate agencies to
26 permanently revoke all licenses that are held by the employer at the
27 employer's primary place of business. On receipt of the order and
28 notwithstanding any other law, the appropriate agencies shall immediately
29 revoke the licenses.
30 3. The violation shall be considered:
31 (a) A first violation by an employer at a business location if the
32 violation did not occur during a probationary period ordered by the court
33 under this subsection or section 23-212, subsection F for that employer's
34 business location.
35 (b) A second violation by an employer at a business location if the
36 violation occurred during a probationary period ordered by the court under
37 this subsection or section 23-212, subsection F for that employer's business
38 location.
39 G. The attorney general shall maintain copies of court orders that are
40 received pursuant to subsection F of this section and shall maintain a
41 database of the employers and business locations that have a first violation
42 of subsection A of this section and make the court orders available on the
43 attorney general's website.
44 H. On determining whether an employee is an unauthorized alien, the
45 court shall consider only the federal government's determination pursuant to

1 8 United States Code section 1373(c). The federal government's determination
2 creates a rebuttable presumption of the employee's lawful status. The court
3 may take judicial notice of the federal government's determination and may
4 request the federal government to provide automated or testimonial
5 verification pursuant to 8 United States Code section 1373(c).
6 I. For the purposes of this section, proof of verifying the employment
7 authorization of an employee through the e-verify program creates a
8 rebuttable presumption that an employer did not intentionally employ an
9 unauthorized alien.
10 J. For the purposes of this section, an employer that establishes that
11 it has complied in good faith with the requirements of 8 United States Code
12 section 1324a(b) establishes an affirmative defense that the employer did not
13 intentionally employ an unauthorized alien. An employer is considered to
14 have complied with the requirements of 8 United States Code section 1324a(b),
15 notwithstanding an isolated, sporadic or accidental technical or procedural
16 failure to meet the requirements, if there is a good faith attempt to comply
17 with the requirements.
18 K. IT IS AN AFFIRMATIVE DEFENSE TO A VIOLATION OF SUBSECTION A OF THIS
19 SECTION THAT THE EMPLOYER WAS ENTRAPPED. TO CLAIM ENTRAPMENT, THE EMPLOYER
20 MUST ADMIT BY THE EMPLOYER'S TESTIMONY OR OTHER EVIDENCE THE SUBSTANTIAL
21 ELEMENTS OF THE VIOLATION. AN EMPLOYER WHO ASSERTS AN ENTRAPMENT DEFENSE HAS
22 THE BURDEN OF PROVING THE FOLLOWING BY CLEAR AND CONVINCING EVIDENCE:
23 1. THE IDEA OF COMMITTING THE VIOLATION STARTED WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT
24 OFFICERS OR THEIR AGENTS RATHER THAN WITH THE EMPLOYER.
25 2. THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OR THEIR AGENTS URGED AND INDUCED THE
26 EMPLOYER TO COMMIT THE VIOLATION.
27 3. THE EMPLOYER WAS NOT PREDISPOSED TO COMMIT THE VIOLATION BEFORE THE
28 LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OR THEIR AGENTS URGED AND INDUCED THE EMPLOYER TO
29 COMMIT THE VIOLATION.
30 L. AN EMPLOYER DOES NOT ESTABLISH ENTRAPMENT IF THE EMPLOYER WAS
31 PREDISPOSED TO VIOLATE SUBSECTION A OF THIS SECTION AND THE LAW ENFORCEMENT
32 OFFICERS OR THEIR AGENTS MERELY PROVIDED THE EMPLOYER WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO
33 COMMIT THE VIOLATION. IT IS NOT ENTRAPMENT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OR
34 THEIR AGENTS MERELY TO USE A RUSE OR TO CONCEAL THEIR IDENTITY. THE CONDUCT
35 OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AND THEIR AGENTS MAY BE CONSIDERED IN DETERMINING
36 IF AN EMPLOYER HAS PROVEN ENTRAPMENT.
37 Sec. 8. Section 23-214, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
38 23-214. Verification of employment eligibility; e-verify
39 program; economic development incentives; list of
40 registered employers
41 A. After December 31, 2007, every employer, after hiring an employee,
42 shall verify the employment eligibility of the employee through the e-verify
43 program AND SHALL KEEP A RECORD OF THE VERIFICATION FOR THE DURATION OF THE
44 EMPLOYEE'S EMPLOYMENT OR AT LEAST THREE YEARS, WHICHEVER IS LONGER.

1 B. In addition to any other requirement for an employer to receive an
2 economic development incentive from a government entity, the employer shall
3 register with and participate in the e-verify program. Before receiving the
4 economic development incentive, the employer shall provide proof to the
5 government entity that the employer is registered with and is participating
6 in the e-verify program. If the government entity determines that the
7 employer is not complying with this subsection, the government entity shall
8 notify the employer by certified mail of the government entity's
9 determination of noncompliance and the employer's right to appeal the
10 determination. On a final determination of noncompliance, the employer shall
11 repay all monies received as an economic development incentive to the
12 government entity within thirty days of the final determination. For the
13 purposes of this subsection:
14 1. "Economic development incentive" means any grant, loan or
15 performance-based incentive from any government entity that is awarded after
16 September 30, 2008. Economic development incentive does not include any tax
17 provision under title 42 or 43.
18 2. "Government entity" means this state and any political subdivision
19 of this state that receives and uses tax revenues.
20 C. Every three months the attorney general shall request from the
21 United States department of homeland security a list of employers from this
22 state that are registered with the e-verify program. On receipt of the list
23 of employers, the attorney general shall make the list available on the
24 attorney general's website.
25 Sec. 9. Section 28-3511, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
26 28-3511. Removal and immobilization or impoundment of vehicle
27 A. A peace officer shall cause the removal and either immobilization
28 or impoundment of a vehicle if the peace officer determines that a person is
29 driving the vehicle while any of the following applies:
30 1. The person's driving privilege is suspended or revoked for any
31 reason.
32 2. The person has not ever been issued a valid driver license or
33 permit by this state and the person does not produce evidence of ever having
34 a valid driver license or permit issued by another jurisdiction. This
35 paragraph does not apply to the operation of an implement of husbandry.
36 3. The person is subject to an ignition interlock device requirement
37 pursuant to chapter 4 of this title and the person is operating a vehicle
38 without a functioning certified ignition interlock device. This paragraph
39 does not apply to a person operating an employer's vehicle or the operation
40 of a vehicle due to a substantial emergency as defined in section 28-1464.
41 4. THE PERSON IS IN VIOLATION OF A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND IS
42 TRANSPORTING, MOVING, CONCEALING, HARBORING OR SHIELDING OR ATTEMPTING TO
43 TRANSPORT, MOVE, CONCEAL, HARBOR OR SHIELD AN ALIEN IN THIS STATE IN A
44 VEHICLE IF THE PERSON KNOWS OR RECKLESSLY DISREGARDS THE FACT THAT THE ALIEN
45 HAS COME TO, HAS ENTERED OR REMAINS IN THE UNITED STATES IN VIOLATION OF LAW.

1 B. A peace officer shall cause the removal and impoundment of a
2 vehicle if the peace officer determines that a person is driving the vehicle
3 and if all of the following apply:
4 1. The person's driving privilege is canceled, suspended or revoked
5 for any reason or the person has not ever been issued a driver license or
6 permit by this state and the person does not produce evidence of ever having
7 a driver license or permit issued by another jurisdiction.
8 2. The person is not in compliance with the financial responsibility
9 requirements of chapter 9, article 4 of this title.
10 3. The person is driving a vehicle that is involved in an accident
11 that results in either property damage or injury to or death of another
12 person.
13 C. Except as provided in subsection D of this section, while a peace
14 officer has control of the vehicle the peace officer shall cause the removal
15 and either immobilization or impoundment of the vehicle if the peace officer
16 has probable cause to arrest the driver of the vehicle for a violation of
17 section 4-244, paragraph 34 or section 28-1382 or 28-1383.
18 D. A peace officer shall not cause the removal and either the
19 immobilization or impoundment of a vehicle pursuant to subsection C of this
20 section if all of the following apply:
21 1. The peace officer determines that the vehicle is currently
22 registered and that the driver or the vehicle is in compliance with the
23 financial responsibility requirements of chapter 9, article 4 of this title.
24 2. The spouse of the driver is with the driver at the time of the
25 arrest.
26 3. The peace officer has reasonable grounds to believe that the spouse
27 of the driver:
28 (a) Has a valid driver license.
29 (b) Is not impaired by intoxicating liquor, any drug, a vapor
30 releasing substance containing a toxic substance or any combination of
31 liquor, drugs or vapor releasing substances.
32 (c) Does not have any spirituous liquor in the spouse's body if the
33 spouse is under twenty-one years of age.
34 4. The spouse notifies the peace officer that the spouse will drive
35 the vehicle from the place of arrest to the driver's home or other place of
36 safety.
37 5. The spouse drives the vehicle as prescribed by paragraph 4 of this
38 subsection.
39 E. Except as otherwise provided in this article, a vehicle that is
40 removed and either immobilized or impounded pursuant to subsection A, B or C
41 of this section shall be immobilized or impounded for thirty days. An
42 insurance company does not have a duty to pay any benefits for charges or
43 fees for immobilization or impoundment.
44 F. The owner of a vehicle that is removed and either immobilized or
45 impounded pursuant to subsection A, B or C of this section, the spouse of the

1 owner and each person identified on the department's record with an interest
2 in the vehicle shall be provided with an opportunity for an immobilization or
3 poststorage hearing pursuant to section 28-3514.
4 Sec. 10. Title 41, chapter 12, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is
5 amended by adding section 41-1724, to read:
6 41-1724. Gang and immigration intelligence team enforcement
7 mission fund
8 THE GANG AND IMMIGRATION INTELLIGENCE TEAM ENFORCEMENT MISSION FUND IS
9 ESTABLISHED CONSISTING OF MONIES DEPOSITED PURSUANT TO SECTION 11-1051 AND
10 MONIES APPROPRIATED BY THE LEGISLATURE. THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ADMINISTER THE
11 FUND. MONIES IN THE FUND ARE SUBJECT TO LEGISLATIVE APPROPRIATION AND SHALL
12 BE USED FOR GANG AND IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT AND FOR COUNTY JAIL
13 REIMBURSEMENT COSTS RELATING TO ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
14 Sec. 11. Severability, implementation and construction
15 A. If a provision of this act or its application to any person or
16 circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other provisions
17 or applications of the act that can be given effect without the invalid
18 provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this act are
19 severable.
20 B. The terms of this act regarding immigration shall be construed to
21 have the meanings given to them under federal immigration law.
22 C. This act shall be implemented in a manner consistent with federal
23 laws regulating immigration, protecting the civil rights of all persons and
24 respecting the privileges and immunities of United States citizens.
25 Sec. 12. Short title
26 This act may be cited as the "Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe
27 Neighborhoods Act".

Politics, Politics, and more Politics!

On Saturday, April 10^th, I attended what was meant to be a “Town Hall” type meeting between our districts member of the House of Representatives and his constituents. This was a first for me. I actually expected a rather large crowd considering the things that have been happening in this country the last decade or so. I was very sadly disappointed; as I am sure the Congressman had to be. Since this article is not about this particular Congressman, but about the continued apathy of the majority of the voting public, I shall not give his name. I will, however, let you know that he is a Republican and that he has been a member of the House for quite some time. I did research his voting record, and that coupled with what I observed of his body language and general demeanor during this two and a half hour stint, I did like what I saw and heard. That being said, do not misunderstand me when I say that I still no longer trust any of the political parties in this country as I have yet to see anything that says the parties believe in and back the individual politician. All evidence points to the parties demanding that the individual politician follow the party line in unwavering lock step. It is that party attitude that has put this once great nation in the obvious peril of being no more that we are in today.

However, let me get back to the mildly shocking discovery that I made while attending this shindig. It all has to do with the people that lined up to ask questions and give out ideas on how to straighten out this mess. Very few people actually realize that the last general national election was and is the single most nation changing event in the history of this country since those 57 very brave souls penned and signed the Declaration of Independence so long ago. This last national general election put the icing on the “progressive” (read that Marxist) cake that was first conceived well over a hundred years ago.

Those that lined up, with very few exceptions, were there to heap praise on this politician and then in the next breath ask some sort of personalized favor. As I sat quietly observing all this, I couldn’t help wondering just what it is that people want of their politicians. Our district in this state is spread out over quite a few square miles and goes from a rather heavily dense population to a very sparse and spread out population. Some of us drove over 60 miles one way to attend this meeting.

We are a border state with Mexico. Recently a rancher near the border was murdered quite possibly by Mexican drug runners. Yet no one at this meeting asked what this congressman was doing to get our southern border secured or why he has not done anything since 9/11 to secure our southern border. Remember that we had a Republican majority in the House when 9/11 happened and still they did not vote to fund the securing of our border with Mexico. I believe that California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas should all be screaming at the top of their lungs in the House and Senate to get this done as soon as humanly possible – I mean look at it this way = This is the only country on this planet that in the span of one decade funded the research, development, and actually sent men to the Moon and brought them back all in one piece. . . So why can’t we secure our southern border? It just does not make any sense. Perhaps it is not the wish of the non-elected powers that be who control the political parties that do not want these borders secured. And for what reason? Anyone who knows me or who has read my writings of the past year knows that I honestly believe that it is the illegal drug trade that controls this situation. No one else seems to care except for me and a few of my friends.

Another thing that I noticed about those attending was their obvious lack of the knowledge that the currant batch of politicians in D.C. are steadily moving toward taking every penny that we earn in taxes of one sort or another. When the Congressman mentioned the recent revelation of a V.A.T. (Value Added Tax) that could be forced upon the unsuspecting public sometime in the foreseeable future, hardly anyone even batted an eye. This showed me that they had not even a clue as to what he was talking about.

He also made it known that he was in favor of abolishing the IRS (this is tax time) and replacing the Income Tax with the “Fair Tax”, they still did not seem to understand this fully. Let me be clear here, I believe that any tax that can be increased for any reason just cannot in all honesty be “Fair” by any means since it can be increased at the whim of the politicians in D.C. My position is that I favor a flat rate tax set at a percentage that cannot be changed at any time by any one, and abolishing all other taxes. Period.

Again, this “Town Hall” meeting was just a little disappointing to me from the obvious apathy that seems to still exist in this country to the obvious recruiting efforts of his staff to bring in volunteers to get him re-elected in November. At the urging of my wife, we submitted our names for consideration. I sure hope that I don’t wind up regretting that decision. My wife’s logic is natural as she pointed out to me that if we were serious about getting this country back on track, then we need to do something much more than provide my “lip service” in this blog. After all, wasn’t it I who has been constantly bellyaching about getting up off our lazy collective butts and DO something?

I hope this guy doesn’t get too tired of me asking about when are we going to get National Guard troops on our southern border in all four states to stop this invasion of drug runners.

So it looks like I just might be getting up to my ears in Politics, Politics, and more Politics!

A CALL TO ARMS – All Americans Must Rise To The Challenge!

Mahatma Gandhi did it. Martin Luther King did it. Now “We The People” need to do it.

What is “it”?

“It” is to change the course of history through peaceful non-violent civil disobedience.

“We The People” need to gather in great numbers in Washington D.C. and demand the immediate resignation of every member of all three branches of the United States Government. Yes, all THREE branches. Every member of the United States Senate and the House of Representatives (known collectively as the Congress), the Judicial Branch known as the United States Supreme Court, and the entire Executive Branch. We must rise up as one mass of humanity and demand that they all resign effective by the fourth of July of this year.

What is being done in D.C. right now is and has been directly against the Constitution of the United States of America, and now it is up to us – “We The People” – to show our unanimous vote of no confidence by demanding (through peaceful non-violent civil disobedience) their resignation en masse.

Why do we have to do it this way? Because our votes no longer count at the ballot box. It has been a long known fact that the dead vote in Chicago, and they vote often. Now Chicago politics are in effect nationwide. Voter fraud cases are being investigated in more than a dozen different locations. Our members of the House of Representatives no longer represent us, and our members of the Senate no longer represent the individual States that sent them there, and the United States Supreme Court – the very body that is charged with seeing to it that our Constitutional laws are never violated – has turned a blind eye to the disgusting state of corruption that our national governmental bodies have fallen into.

This disgusting state of affairs leaves us with only three choices;

The first is to meekly accept our governmental corruption and disdainment of our Constitution while quietly sinking deeper into the slavery that is slowly being brought upon us, inch by inch and bit by bit.

The second is to rise up in peaceful non-violent civil disobedience and change the course of our imminent history.

The third is the worst. Armed insurrection. Not good at all.

Now is the time to make our choice, and we must all make the same choice.

I choose the second option.

I am in an RV park somewhere along the Colorado River, we have been here since early November 2009. It is amazing what I see here today as I type on this laptop looking out my window. Children on spring break are laughing and riding their bicycles, some people are packing up to leave and others are just arriving. Everyone is smiling and waving to each other as RV’ers always do. They are completely oblivious to the historical significance of this day, totally unaware that this is the first day of the American Democracy now led by Barack Hussein Obama, that this is day one after the death of the American Constitutional Republic that the American War For Independence was fought over. They are totally unaware that from this day forward our Constitution is no longer valid, that we no longer have any semblance of Independence or Liberty, that we are now the subjects of the Democratic Government that sits in Washington D.C., that our members of the House of Representatives no longer represent us. They all just roam around all fat, dumb and happy, not realizing that we have just sealed the fate of unknown numbers of generations to come.

All because we were so complacent, so uninvolved, so wrapped up in our own little universe that we just let our freedom be whisked off into nothingness. We won every battle, but we have lost the war.

It is at this point that any writer would write “May God help us all”, but we have even shunned Him to the point that we no longer want anything to do with God, therefore the saying that “God helps those who help themselves” will ring ever so true. By our aforementioned complacency, we are not helping ourselves one damn bit. We are now far beyond God’s help.

For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, let me show you the difference between a Republic and a Democracy;

Niccolò Machiavelli described the governance and foundation of the ideal republic in his work Discourses on Livy. These writings, as well as those of his contemporaries such as Leonardo Bruni, are the foundation of the ideology political scientists call republicanism.^[10][11]

There are several varieties of democracy, some of which provide better representation and more freedoms for their citizens than others.^[8][9] However, if any democracy is not carefully legislated – through the use of balances – to avoid an uneven distribution of political power, such as the separation of powers, then a branch of the system of rule could accumulate power and become harmful to the democracy itself.^[10][11][12]

The "majority rule" is often described as a characteristic feature of democracy, but without responsible government or constitutional protections of individual liberties from democratic power, it is possible for dissenting individuals to be oppressed by the "tyranny of the majority". An essential process in representative democracies is competitive elections, that are fair both substantively^[13] and procedurally.^[14] Furthermore, freedom of political expression, freedom of speech and freedom of the press are essential so that citizens are informed and able to vote in their personal interests.^[15][16]

Popular sovereignty is common but not a universal motivating subject for establishing a democracy. In some countries, democracy is based on the philosophical principle of equal rights. Many people use the term "democracy" as shorthand for liberal democracy, which may include additional elements such as political pluralism; equality before the law; the right to petition elected officials for redress of grievances; due process; civil liberties; human rights; and elements of civil society outside the government.

In the United States, separation of powers is often cited as a supporting attribute, but in other countries, such as the United Kingdom, the dominant philosophy is parliamentary sovereignty (though in practice judicial independence is generally maintained). In other cases, "democracy" is used to mean direct democracy. Though the term "democracy" is typically used in the context of a political state, the principles are applicable to private organizations and other groups also.

Democracy has its origins in Ancient Greece.^[17][18] However other cultures have significantly contributed to the evolution of democracy such as Ancient Rome,^[17] Europe,^[17] and North and South America.^[19] The concept of representative democracy arose largely from ideas and institutions that developed during the European Middle Ages and the Age of Enlightenment and in the American and French Revolutions.^[20] Democracy has been called the "last form of government" and has spread considerably across the globe.^[21] The Right to vote has been expanded in many Jurisdictions over time from relatively narrow groups (such as wealthy men of a particular ethnic group), with New Zealand the first nation to grant universal suffrage for all its citizens in 1893. Suffrage still remains a controversial issue with regard to disputed territories, areas with significant immigration, and countries that exclude certain demographic groups.

As you can see, these are two very distinctly different forms of governance. By the actions of the United States Congress on 21 March 2010, we no longer have a Republic for as all the political polls have shown over 60% of the American population did not want Socialized Health Care yet Congress and Obama will make it law anyway.

The United States Of America is now fundamentally changed.

We are going to get exactly what we have asked for.

And we do not even have a clue as to what that actually is . . . . .

He was just a common Soldier, And his ranks are growing thin, But his presence should remind us We may need his like again.

If we cannot do him honor While he's here to hear the praise, Then at least let's give him homage At the ending of his days.

Perhaps just a simple headline In the paper that might say: "OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING, A SOLDIER DIED TODAY."

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States' for an amount "up to and including my life." That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

America Needs Sheriff Joe Arpaio!

They call him “Americas Sheriff”, yet politicians all over the country – from federal judges to the former governor of Arizona – are doing everything they can to discredit him and his department and prevent them from doing their sworn duty.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona has to fight tooth and nail each and every day just to do the job he was elected to do. He is under investigation by the United States Department of (no) Justice, because a few people of Hispanic descent (which, by the way, make up the vast majority of illegal aliens within the borders of the United States) think that his deputies are profiling when they stop Hispanics and ask them about their status of citizenship.

Maybe that is why Janet (from another planet) Napolitano’s Department of Homeland (in)Security demands that no one of Arabic descent be checked at our nations airport terminals even though young men of Arabic descent make up the vast majority of terrorists throughout the world.

So, what’s wrong with this picture? Just what the heck is going on in this country? What kind of a country have we turned into that discredits a law enforcement agency for doing what they are supposed to and welcomes terrorists and illegal aliens with open arms? Is this what was meant by Obama when he said he wanted to fundamentally change the United States of America?

I honestly believe that we need more Joe Arpaio’s and less Janet Napolitano’s in this country.

I vote that we put Sheriff Joe at the head of the Department of Justice and let him enforce the law of the land, you know that often heard of and much ignored document called The Constitution of The United States of America!

Anatomy of a Failing Presidency

Barack Obama is on track to have the most spectacularly failed presidency since Woodrow Wilson. In the modern era, we've seen several failed presidencies--led by Jimmy Carter and LBJ. Failed presidents have one strong common trait-- they are repudiated, in the vernacular, spat out. Of course, LBJ wisely took the exit ramp early, avoiding a shove into oncoming traffic by his own party. Richard Nixon indeed resigned in disgrace, yet his reputation as a statesman has been partially restored by his triumphant overture to China.

But, Barack Obama is failing. Failing big. Failing fast. And failing everywhere: foreign policy, domestic initiatives, and most importantly, in forging connections with the American people. The incomparable Dorothy Rabinowitz in the Wall Street Journal put her finger on it: He is failing because he has no understanding of the American people, and may indeed loathe them. Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard says he is failing because he has lost control of his message, and is overexposed. Clarice Feldman of American Thinker produced a dispositive commentary showing that Obama is failing because fundamentally he is neither smart nor articulate; his intellectual dishonesty is conspicuous by its audacity and lack of shame.

But, there is something more seriously wrong: How could a new president riding in on a wave of unprecedented promise and goodwill have forfeited his tenure and become a lame duck in six months? His poll ratings are in free fall. In generic balloting, the Republicans have now seized a five point advantage. This truly is unbelievable. What's going on?

No narrative. Obama doesn't have a narrative. No, not a narrative about himself. He has a self-narrative, much of it fabricated, cleverly disguised or written by someone else. But this self-narrative is isolated and doesn't connect with us. He doesn't have an American narrative that draws upon the rest of us. All successful presidents have a narrative about the American character that intersects with their own where they display a command of history and reveal an authenticity at the core of their personality that resonates in a positive endearing way with the majority of Americans. We admire those presidents whose narratives not only touch our own, but who seem stronger, wiser, and smarter than we are. Presidents we admire are aspirational peers, even those whose politics don't align exactly with our own: Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, Harry Truman, Ike, and Reagan.

But not this president. It's not so much that he's a phony, knows nothing about economics, and is historically illiterate and woefully small minded for the size of the task--all contributory of course. It's that he's not one of us. And whatever he is, his profile is fuzzy and devoid of content, like a cardboard cutout made from delaminated corrugated paper. Moreover, he doesn't command our respect and is unable to appeal to our own common sense. His notions of right and wrong are repugnant and how things work just don't add up. They are not existential. His descriptions of the world we live in don't make sense and don't correspond with our experience.

In the meantime, while we've been struggling to take a measurement of this man, he's dissed just about every one of us--financiers, energy producers, banks, insurance executives, police officers, doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, post office workers, and anybody else who has a non-green job. Expect Obama to lament at his last press conference in 2012: "For those of you I offended, I apologize. For those of you who were not offended, you just didn't give me enough time; if only I'd had a second term, I could have offended you too."

Mercifully, the Founders at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 devised a useful remedy for such a desperate state--staggered terms for both houses of the legislature and the executive. An equally abominable Congress can get voted out next year. With a new Congress, there's always hope of legislative gridlock until we vote for president again two short years after that.

Yes, small presidents do fail, Barack Obama among them. The coyotes howl but the wagon train keeps rolling along..

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100%

Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law.

The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death.

Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate.

ENGINEERS – SCIENTIFIC AND SOCIAL

Tonight I would like to talk with you about engineers and their significance to our economic and social structures.

My dictionary defines engineering as “the art and science by which the properties of matter and the sources of power in nature are made useful to man in structures, and manufactured products.”

We engineers have learned that our unceasing efforts to perfect this art and science are essential for the improvement of our material standards of living. And I believe that we may, with due modesty, point with pride to our professional achievements.

However, my purpose tonight is not to give an accounting of the good works of scientific engineers. For I believe that we should now be more concerned with a “pseudo-engineering” that is developing to an alarming extent among us – a kind of engineering which is quite different from that “science by which the properties of matter are made useful to man.” I refer to the profession of “social engineering”, whose practitioners are known as “social engineers”.

A MASTER PLAN

These social engineers – who appear to be more numerous and, at the moment, far more powerful, than we scientific engineers – are dedicated to the thesis that, by using the force of government, mankind in the mass can be changed and molded to conform to a master plan, in much the same way that engineering materials can be processed in accordance with preconceived designs.

We scientific engineers have the unchanging laws of chemistry, physics, and the other natural sciences to guide our efforts. By means of those laws, when we come to understand them, we can predict the behavior of the materials and forces of nature. But the social engineers either know nothing of nature’s immutable laws, or choose to ignore them. Instead, they have their man-made and variable laws of compulsions, prohibitions, and other restrictions on the free actions of individuals. By means of these, they claim, they can compel the behavior of men in a manner that will redound to the good of mankind.

We scientific engineers recognize that the materials we use and the laws we follow come from the Creator – a Power of which man himself is but an infinitesimal manifestation – and that these materials may be used and these laws observed to the advantage of mankind. The “raw material” used by the social engineers is all of mankind itself – and the laws and rules which they follow some from no source other than their desire to remold humanity in their chosen images. Scientific engineers process their raw materials to create products for the service of mankind. Social engineers use their raw material – human beings – to create products designed to serve and please their own fancy – and frequently to satisfy their craving for personal power. And often they do this by appealing to the baser traits of man – laziness, greed, selfishness and irresponsibility.

PLANS AND EXPERIMENTS

We scientific engineers do extensive planning and experimenting. We construct models in order to obtain date with which to predict the behavior of the full-scale prototype.

Social engineers also are given to extensive planning and experimenting. They, too, construct models in order to secure a better idea of how they may control the full-scale project. For example, in 1933 practically an entire State, with all of its people – Tennessee – was selected for what was called “a pilot plant” and “a yardstick”. I refer to the Tennessee Valley Authority, a project to which its “social engineer in charge” proudly referred as “a seamless web – the unity of land and water and men”, all under his direct authority.

The Chief of the Woman’s Auxiliary of the Social Engineers is famed for her experiments with model villages and other “social reforms”. From these she moved into the Planning Division of the United Nations where – is collaboration with the master social engineers of other nations – she has been busily planning to apply her experiments on a world-wide basis.

Social engineers who have worked in the field of agriculture have, at various times, set aside tracts of land and all of their inhabitants for test projects. Then, satisfied that they had produced a happier, healthier, and more perfect human being, they have returned to Washington and attempted to place into operation a master plan to transform all of mankind by use of the force of government.

They have built model housing developments. The occupants are carefully selected, house-broken, and taught to conform to certain behavior patterns. If the operation of the models and the conduct of the people placed in them are pleasing to the planners, they demand from government the power to force many others to conform to the standards they have set – standards which they claim will reduce crime, improve morality, and develop a better society. But, actually, experience has shown that almost always the ultimate effects are the direct opposite of those which they claim.

These self-anointed friends of humanity are deeply concerned about your health, your diet, your attitude toward other people, your business, and your job. Ins short, they believe in government-forced control of man in relation to his wages, hours, working conditions, prices, savings, insurance, drinking habits, entertainment, and a host of other problems that every person must face in his daily living.

THE RIGHT TO PLAN

Now, I do not deny to any person the right to make any plan be chooses – whether it be a plan to fly to the moon or a plan to create a superior human being. But I do deny the planner the right to force me, or any other person, to conform to his plan.

We scientific engineers do not need laws to force people to adopt our plans or to buy our products. I believe that each of us s willing to leave the decision to the competitive market where all persons have complete freedom to buy or not to buy, to join or not to join, to invest or not to invest.

But these would-be managers-at-large of society are not willing to extend freedom of choice to others than themselves. They must have the power of government — the police force – behind their plans or they are helpless. They know that in almost all cases a free people in a free market would reject their wares. That is why they want to abolish the market economy and force people to conform to their plans or to suffer the penalty of fines and imprisonment.

For example, I am an unwilling “stockholder” in the Tennessee Valley Authority. I continue to pay money into that project for the simple reason that the police force will use violence upon me should I refuse. I am willing to sell my share of TVA, and of all similar welfare projects, at a large discount. In fact, I would give my equity to these humanitarians if they would only stop forcing me to subsidize their schemes.

They claim they can “prove conclusively” that the Tennessee Valley Authority is a great financial success which regularly returns a profit to the people of America. If this so, why do they come to Congress almost every year for additional appropriations? Why do they not offer stock in the open market where the people can have a choice?

The answer is simple: A free people would reject the stock. If this were not so, there would have been no reason to make their participation compulsory in the first instance.

These promoters with the public purse have been planning a Missouri Valley Authority and various other such authorities for many years. And they have been using your money to propagandize the gullible into believing that the projects are economically sound; that they will pay back far more than they cost. If this is so, why do they demand that the police force, government, recruit their stockholders?

GOOD INTENTIONS

Now, these social busy-bodies may have the best intentions in the world. Their personal lives may be above reproach. Their primary motive may be only too “do good for the people”. I question neither their intentions nor their sincerity. But I do question their basic belief that good can be accomplished through the use of violence. To illustrate my point, let us consider the French Revolution. The people rebelled against a government that forced them to conform to its decrees on wages, prices, profits, employment, housing, and similar matters.

Now, it would be logical to suppose that the revolters against a government of favoritism would reject favoritism and entrust their social and economic relationships to a market and a society where freedom of choice was controlling.

It is true that some effort was made in this direction in the early stages of the French Revolution. But soon there came to power Robespierre – a man of unquestioned personal integrity and habits – a dedicated humanitarian. He became the foremost “social engineer” of his day. Here is his master plan for re-creating the people of France:

“In our country,” he said, “we desire to establish morality, honesty, principles, duties, reason, contempt of vice, pride, greatness of soul, love of glory, good people, merit, genius, truth, happiness, greatness of man, generosity, strength – in short, we desire to substitute all the virtues of a republic for all the vices of a monarchy”.

Who can disagree with those noble objectives? Certainly, I do not, any more than I disagree with those of most of our own social planners. But Robespierre had no faith in people. He rejected any thought that the people would develop those desirable virtue by the use of violence; to use the power of government to force all people to conform to his plan for making them better. He became known as the “humanitarian with the guillotine”. Those who refused to conform to his concepts of morality and economic behavior were fined or imprisoned or executed.

When it came his own turn to bow to the guillotine, his defense was that of all humanitarians who rely on the force of government for the accomplishment of their good works. He said that his every act had been “for the good of the people”; that he was only trying to help them to peace, prosperity, and happiness.

ADOLF HITLER: SOCIAL ENGINEER

And so it is with all social engineers, including Hitler, Stalin, and our domestic brand. Hitler looked upon people as clay to be molded to his purposes. Some of this clay – human beings – did not meet his specifications. So he destroyed it in much the same manner that a scientific engineer discards defective material. His program of social reform allowed little freedom of choice. He used the force of government to regulate wages, prices, profits, working conditions, unions, rents, housing, education, medical services, social security, production, and a host of other vital matters. And he, too, repeatedly announced that all these things ere being done for “the good of all the people”. That is the familiar chant of these “public benefactors”. The dictator who “liquidates” a group of persons is practicing social engineering – as is the public official who takes money from one group of citizens and gives it to another group – in the form of public housing or some other socially “useful” project.

Both are doing what they say is “best for the people as a whole”. They may differ in their approach, but if you think that our domestic brand is any less determined than the variety, just try deducting from your tax bill your share of the cost of socialized housing in America. First, you will be fined. If you refuse to pay the fine, you will be sentenced to prison. If you resist the officer who is sent to arrest you – well, just what does happen in our country to persons who resist arrest?

RELIGION AND SOCIAL ENGINEERS

Now you may ask: Did our great religious teachers practice social engineering? Was Jesus a social engineer? Recalling that I have defined social engineers as those who would re-make mankind in the mass by using the force of government, my answer is an emphatic no. For Jesus always appealed only to individuals. He asked that each one make a voluntary choice to follow God’s way. He said to the individual, “The Kingdom of God is within you. “That is, it does not lie in the group, or in the mob, or in the vote of the majority, but in the individual himself. Nor did Jesus ever appeal, or even suggest an appeal, to the force of government for the accomplishment of good works. Instead, He appealed to each person to reform himself, that he might be born again. He recognized no such thing as “group morality”. Rather, He taught that each individual must eventually answer personally for his own deeds of commission and omission, form which it follows that no one can divest himself of his responsibility by hiding it behind someone else or even behind our collective agent – government.

THE AUTHORITY IDEA

All social engineers are devotees of the pagan concept of authority. Their every action show clearly that they do not believe that freedom as a way of life will work.

They believe inherently that free mane cannot possibly be adequately housed, clothed, or fed. By their actions they show clearly that they consider themselves superior in intelligence to the rest of us. For our own good they desire to force the rest of us to live and act and think as they believe we should.

Since they assume for themselves a higher degree of intelligence and morality than the rest of us, I suggest that we examinee their credentials. Who has commissioned them to use us as raw material, to be molded as they see fit? Surely no such commission could be valid unless it were signed by the Almighty Himself. Apparently no social engineer ever stops to consider that this raw material he is remolding is composed of human beings – creatures of God, created in God’s image. Or, if he does think about it, apparently he concludes that God’s work should be improved upon. It is my belief that God intended men to be free to make their own decisions and to be responsible for the consequences of those decisions. Thus it seems to me that it is an act against God for men to pass laws which destroy individual liberty; which force some persons to conform to the ideas and plans of other persons; which deprive persons of the responsibility for their own acts and for their own welfare.

It seems to me that there is convincing evidence to support my beliefs on this subject. And the basic evidence is found in the fact that no person is physically or mentally or morally identical to any other person. For example, we know that the fingerprints of all persons are different. And these differences – these individualities, these inequalities – carry through all the physical, mental, and moral characteristics of mankind.

THE LAW OF NATURE

This inequality among persons is a law of nature – law which is just as unchangeable and just as necessary to understand as is any other natural law, as, for example, the law of gravity. This particular law is known as the “law of variation”, and from the unrestricted operation of this law comes all human progress. The law of variation permits children to be different from their parents. It permits brothers to think differently and to act differently. It permits the existence of both miser and philanthropists, saints and sinners, rich and poor. It is the foundation for all conceivable human relationships. These natural variations underlie all commerce and trade and exchanges of any kind – including all the aspects of social and economic life within a society.

The law of variation permits inventors to invent, managers to manage, and scientific engineers to improve the material well-being of mankind. It permits each person to seek a job or profession which is most suited to his natural talents and his desires. It encourages a voluntary division of labor, with resulting maximum efficiency and greater prosperity for all. Without this variation – this unequalness – our social structure would be similar to that of an anthill or a beehive, where each member is born to do a certain predetermined job, which he does with blind allegiance to his society and with no consideration of personal interests or preferences.

EQUALITY AND POSSESSIONS

The slogan of the social engineer is “equality” and the tools he proposes to use to bring this about are the compulsions and prohibitions of government. But what does he mean by equality? Certainly I am not equal to anyone else. I frequently meet persons who are my superior in intelligence, in morality, in health, and in material possessions. By equality does he mean that we should all have equal intelligence? If so, his arguments should be directed to God. If not equality of intelligence, does he mean that one of the most important by-products of intelligence – material possessions – should be equalized? Or, if he merely intends that some degree of equality of possessions should be achieved, just what degree does he have in mind? If his concept of equality is what he chooses to call “adequate” housing for all, then does not the same principle apply to adequate clothing, food, medical care, entertainment, education, and work for all? And should we not have adequate religious training for all? Surely he does not intend to leave that vital subject to chance! In due time I am quite sure that he will get around to controlling that, too.

When the social engineer uses his compulsions to establish equality or “adequateness” in one area, he may deny vehemently that he intends to establish it elsewhere. In fact, he usually does issue such a denial. But it never works that way. Once it is conceded that people should be forced to conform to the ideas of others, there is no principle on which we can rely to deny the same authority in any area.

EQUALITY AND LAW

It seems to me that the only equality we can logically expect is equality before the law. In that event, no person would be subsidized at the expense of another. There could be no subsidies – for if every person were equal before the law, then the law could not take from some in order to give to others. If we were all equal before the law, there would automatically be a free market wherein no person could use the law to force upon ant other person his concepts of wages, prices, or anything else.

Equality before the law means that no person may steal from another person, defame him, defraud him, injure him, or coerce him in any way. Equality before the law cannot exist until the law recognizes the right of every person to the possessions he has honestly acquired in a free society. There is no equality as long as the law takes from one person against his will to give to another person who has not earned it.

RESPONSIBILITY AND SECURITY

In my opinion, the greatest evil of our times is that so many of us are trying to impose on others our ideas as to how they should live their lives. And when they fail to behave as we think they should, we are tempted to resort to coercion – acting through or agent – government. We apparently see no incongruity in the question, “How can you do good for the people if you just let them alone?”

We need not go beyond our own recent history to find examples of the demoralizing effect of depriving people of the personal responsibility of being free. In response to the urging of our social engineers, many Americans are trying to avoid this responsibility by voting for men who promise to install a system of “government-guaranteed security”, a partial return to the old slave laws of some of our Southern States that guaranteed to all slaves “the right to food and raiment, to kind attention when sick, to maintenance in old age.” And the arguments used in defense of this present-day trend toward the bondage of a welfare state are essentially the same as those used formerly to defend the bondage of outright slavery.

For example, many of the slaveholders claimed to know what was “best for the slaves”. After all, hadn’t they “rescued” the slaves from a life of savagery? Our social reformers who advocate “government-guaranteed security” also claim that they know what is best for the people and they say, “After all, haven’t the American people shown conclusively that they are incapable of handling the responsibility for their own welfare?”

Many of the slaveholders believed sincerely that the “dumb, ignorant slaves” would starve to death unless their welfare were guaranteed by the masters. And the social engineers say, “Are you in favor of letting people starve?”

But let us consider the emancipated slaves. Many of them were old or crippled or sick. They had no homes, no jobs, and very little education, but – most precious of all – they were free. They were responsible for their own welfare. They had the privilege of finding their own security.

Now, compare the remarkable progress of those former slaves to the lack of progress of the American Indians who have been made wards of the government; who were given state-guaranteed “security” instead of freedom with responsibility. In 1862 most American negroes were slaves. Today they are about as self-supporting and responsible as other American citizens. And in the meantime the Indians, as group, have become less self-supporting and more dependent on government. It has even been claimed that many thousands of Indians will die of starvation unless the government feeds them. If this is true, why is it so?

MISUSE OF RESOURCES

I am aware that many social engineers justify their projects by pointing with horror to some instances of the misuse of human and natural resources in the market economy as it developed in the Western World. I freely admit and decry those abuses. My studies indicate that they were possible only because one group of citizens was able to obtain special favor from government at the expense of others – i.e., government failed in its basic duty to protect the rights of all citizens equally. However, I see no justification in such past errors for setting up other privileged groups and thus prolonging this process which has proved so corrosive to the public morals.

I am sure few will deny that, over the years, there has been a steady, substantial, and voluntary improvement in our social consciousness and behavior. I hold that our sloe hope for continued progress in this area lies in the improvement by the individual of his own moral stature so that he will know what is right and want to do it, voluntarily, not be granting, by votes or otherwise, ever-increasing power and dominion to social engineers to regulate and control our lives, our morals, and our property. That we are justified in expecting even greater developments in morals in evidenced by the current tremendous outpourings of financial and other support for our churches, our charities, our educational institutions, our hospitals, and many other benefactions. The total of the new contributions each year, i.e., not including income on investments, is now estimated to be well in excess of four billion dollars! There is no dearth of beneficence here. Our great error is a lack of confidence in the voluntary acts of free people.

A philosopher friend recently summarized this subject in the following cogent words: “An incalculable amount of harm has been done by those who have gone fourth to reform society. As a matter of fact, there is no way of reforming society except by making individuals better. And no one can make individuals better except the individual himself. If you want to be a reformer, reform yourself. That will keep you busy for a while and lend encouragement to others. Then, when there are significant numbers of transformed individuals, society will be reformed, but not before.”

Do you know how it is being done?

Do you even know who is doing it?

This last week on the cable TV channels here at the RV Park where we are staying there were two programs that ran in Prime Time. These programs were named “The crumbling of America” and “Racism in America, a story of hatred” . . .

Both programs portrayed the United States as decadent and racist. I must admit to all of you that I did not watch the entire program of either one. Why? I felt my anger rising to the boiling point after just the first few minutes of each one of them and I just turned them off.

Needless to say, I am very proud of what my country represents, especially since I have personally observed how people in other countries are treated by their respective governments. We have come a very long way since this country was founded, and I do not like the direction where the currant group of politicians are now taking this once great country.

Over the span of my short life I have watched certain things that were once considered basic liberties being removed from us, little bit by little bit. Only recently have I been able to see just who is behind it all, but I still do not have a case that I could take to court.

During the last few Presidential campaigns I have begun to notice that the mainstream news media (MSM) have been favoring only one type of political candidate over all others. And what is worse is that they have lied about who actually supports those candidates and how much support they are given. Only the candidates who advocate much more governmental control and higher taxes are recognized by the MSM far over anyone else, regardless of what the consensus of public opinion may be. That was so glaringly evident during this last election I am surprised that no one else noticed.

On the Republican side, McCain was favored over Duncan Hunter even though Hunter was a very strong National Security advocate who wanted to seal our borders and round up all the illegal aliens and send them back to where they came from. McCain does not want to seal our borders, nor return illegals to their own countries. Not a good thing security wise, yet McCain drew the MSM support for his party over all others.

On the Democrat side, Obama drew the MSM support at the end over Hillary Clinton for no other reason than he advocated much more of governmental controls over the population than she did.

Way back when Goldwater was running against LBJ, the MSM portrayed Goldwater as a war monger who would send us into WW3 in a heartbeat and LBJ as the peace lover type. After he was elected, LBJ took us headlong into Viet Nam with the MSM’s blessings.

Do you see the trend here?

Over the years I have seen the MSM push for things like abortion by reporting on just the evils of illegal abortions and not telling the entire truth that on the whole picture illegal abortions were seldom performed on a national scale, but they got it pushed through anyway.

Then they began chipping away at our children and their parents by advocating “an even playing field in the school grading system” and campaigning to have parents arrested for punishing their children.

By taking away the parental tools you separate parents from children and put the children under more governmental control and less under the parents control. By leveling the grading system in the children's education you remove the drive for competition from the student thereby making that individual more susceptible to even more governmental controls.

Removing the right to own and bear firearms with more and more restrictive gun controls by blaming all crime on firearm owners, you remove the sense of personal responsibility and the ability to protect and provide for ones self and ones family thereby making that individual more and more dependant upon the government for personal protection.

Now the MSM is advocating for “free” governmental health care, completing the dependency from cradle to the grave. Yes, that is right, with governmental health care the government will eventually decide when your life is no longer worth living.

Don’t believe me?

Just look at the past and see for yourself just who controls your MSM and what the MSM has advocated over the past one hundred years.

I don’t know about you, but I for one do not like what our so-called “free” press is advocating. I do not like the way that the MSM has been ignoring the great majority of the population, nor how it is ignoring the reality of the lying so-called scientists who have pushed the very convenient lie about global climate change – notice how the MSM changed that from the late 1960’s global cooling to the 1980’s global warming to now it is global climate change? – and for the implementation of the cap & trade rules and regulations.

For decades the MSM has been touting the evils of gun ownership by listing how many people die each year from firearms while ignoring the fact that almost ten times that many die from automobile wrecks. While pushing for more and more gun regulations and bans, the MSM has ignored the fact that criminals just do not care about gun laws and will obtain a gun any way they can. Murderers kill with whatever they can and not just guns, yet gun deaths are championed by every law enforcement reality TV shows like “The First 48” and “Crime 360” while ignoring all other forms that murderers use.

This trend to shape public opinion has been going on since I was a child of four years old. That is right, I was reading newspaper stories at the age of four when I first learned to read. The newspaper was for a very long time my only form of entertainment as we did not have a radio (that was before TV’s were affordable and popular).

I ask the reader to please do the research and find out for yourself. I used to inhabit library’s on a weekly basis and I now use this wonderful communicative tool called the Internet to do my research on. I do not list the web sites on purpose as I want the reader to explore on his/her own and see what else they can find. Global Warming Scandal Makes Scientific Progress More Difficult, Experts Say

The trustworthiness of the scientific community's global warming data pool is being called into question as the scandal over doctored data continues to unfold.

The latest revelation came on Sunday with the publication of a report by The Sunday Times of London that scientists at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit in the United Kingdom confessed to throwing out most of the raw temperature data on which the theory of global warming is founded.

The loss of the data prevents other scientists from checking it to determine whether, in fact, there has been a long-term rise in global temperatures during the past century and a half.

"They are making scientific progress more difficult now," says Willie Soon, a physicist, astronomer and climate researcher at the solar and stellar physics division of the Harvard University-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. "This is a shameful, dark day for science," he said in an interview with FoxNews.com.

Soon also suggested that there has been systemic suppression of dissenting opinion among scientists in the climate change community, ranging from social snubs to e-mail stalking and even threats of harm.

Many in the environmental policy community are outraged about the disclosure that the data has been lost. "The scientific process has become so appallingly corrupted," James M. Taylor, senior fellow in environment policy at The Heartland Institute, told FoxNews.com.

Heartland is a libertarian think tank in Chicago that recently produced a conference featuring scientists and policymakers, like Jose Maria Aznar, the former prime minister of Spain, and Vaclev Klaus, the president of the Czech Republic, who dispute the theory of global warming.

The report in the Times quoted Roger Pielke, a professor of environmental studies at the University of Colorado, who requested the original records from CRU.

Today I watched all six “episodes” of the “Star Wars” saga.

Again.

Chillingly, it reminded me of what is happening today in this once great country of ours. It had all the earmarks of how Obummer and his Marxist cronies are seizing power over a once free nation where Liberty was first and foremost. While claiming to protect the people from emerging dangers, the soon to be emperor secretly built an enormous army of loyal clones while the people relied on a small force of jedi Knights to hold the Alliance together . . . Then he sent his knights into a battle which outcome was preplanned to reduce their numbers even more.

Today, right here on Planet Earth, we hear Obummer and his minions cry out about one “emergency” after another. We hear him talk about how we must raise our national debt to a level that can never be brought down and back under control just to provide “health care” for a few folks who either do not want to purchase their own insurance or just do not believe that they will need health insurance right now. We have heard him say that he needs a civilian “security force” that is just as big and well equipped as our military forces. Yet he and congress have yet to secure our borders.

Just makes me kind of wonder.

I have been told that distance and time heal all wounds.

If that is the case, then how will we heal these wounds that our currant POTUS and all his Marxist cronies in the House and Senate are now inflicting on us?

The currant form of “Obama(really doesn’t)care” has been touted to be “Under 900 Billion Dollars” . . . . .

With our national deficit and national debt rising at its currant rate, before the end of the world on 12 Dec 2012 (according to the Mayan Calendar Doomsayers), we will already have been delegated a third world economy and be dependant on that most wonderful of political organizations – namely the United Nations – for all our needs with blue helmeted South African troops handing out the dole to all the hungry masses that cannot afford to feed themselves.

How do we prevent this from happening?

Sarah Palin and her “Anti-RINO Express” is how we do it.

It is time to pick your side, America, it is time to pick your side and stand up for your liberty and your country.

I will admit to all of you that I had for many years now fallen under the spell of Newt Gingrich. No more, since I have seen him lately hobnobbing with the “Global Climate Change” people and even endorsing a “Republican In Name Only” (RINO) candidate in New York State. That ended it for me.

I have always been an admirer of Mrs. Palin ever since she burst onto the national political arena as John’s running mate. I admire her outspokenness and her honesty, not to mention her integrity. I also admire her Husband for his unwavering support to his wife.

I believe that in 2010 we all should give the RINO’s that are up for re-election the boot and replace them with real conservatives, then do it again in 2012 and also replace Obama with Palin.

So far, as I can see it, she is one of the very few real conservatives left that can get the job done.

And that, my friends, is just my not-so-humble opinion.

The Snake oil salesman has struck again!

Here is something to think about...

Ignore all the gas crap and just look at how the car buyer got taken to the cleaners:

If you traded in a clunker worth $3500,

you get $4500 off for an apparent "savings" of $1000.

However, you have to pay taxes on the $4500 come April 15th

(something that no auto dealer will tell you).

If you are in the 30% tax bracket, you will pay $1350 on that $4500.

So, rather than save $1000, you actually pay an extra $350 to the feds.

In addition, you traded in a car that was most likely paid for.

Now you have 4 or 5 years of payments on a car that you did not need,

that was costing you less to run than the payments that you will now be making.

But wait, it gets even better:

you also got ripped off by the dealer.

For example, every dealer in LA was selling the Ford Focus with all the goodies

including A/C, auto transmission, power windows, etc for $12,500

the month before the "cash for clunkers" program started.

When "cash for clunkers" came along, they stopped discounting them and instead

sold them at the list price of $15,500.

So, you paid $3000 more than you would have the month before.

(Honda, Toyota, and Kia played the same list price game that Ford and Chevy did)

So lets do the final tally here:

You traded in a car worth: $3500

You got a discount of: $4500

Net so far +$1000

But you have to pay: $1350 in taxes on the $4500

Net so far: -$350

And you paid: $3000 more than the car was selling for the month before

Net -$3350

We could also add in the additional taxes (sales tax, state tax, etc.) on the extra $3000

that you paid for the car, along with the 5 years of interest on the car loan... but lets just stop here.

So, who actually made out on the deal? The feds collected taxes on the car

along with taxes on the $4500 they "gave" you.

The car dealers made an extra $3000 or more on every car they sold

along with the kickbacks from the manufacturers and the loan companies.

The manufacturers got to dump lots of cars they could not give away the month before.

And the poor stupid consumer got saddled with even more debt that they cannot afford.

Obama and his band of merry men convinced Joe consumer that he was getting

$4500 in "free" money from the "government" when in fact Joe

was giving away his $3500 car and paying an additional $3350 for the privilege.

How many politicians are reading them?

The words of History that have spelled out the impending doom of the Nation States and Empires of the past whose singular leaders had chosen to ignore them.

“Caesar fiddled as Rome burned”, the fall of Alexander the Great, including some other more recent events such as the rise and fall of the Third Reich, Mussolini’s Fascist state of Italy and the Soviet Union.

The warnings were all there, but ignored by all those so-called great leaders who thought they were invincible.

Even the French, prior to the French Revolution, had warning signs that were ignored by its then leaders. Not to mention the fall of Great Britain’s Royal Family – yet eventually they were reinstated, but as figureheads only.

History has proven time and time again that once a nations leaders begin to believe that they are all powerful omnipotent’s, something happens to strike them down.

I truly fear that all those politicians in Washington D.C. have begun to reach that part in the history of this country where they believe that it is now a government over the people by the politician instead of a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

The ignoring of the will of the people, the attitude that the people are not intelligent enough to manage their own lives, and that the people actually want to be slaves to an all controlling government will spell the impending end of this once great nation.

The handwriting of history is now on the walls of the United States Government. It is foretelling the end of the United States Of America sometime in the near future.

It will come to pass.

That is, unless the people rise up and take back control of this government and make the necessary fundamental changes to keep it under the tight reign of the people.

The power of the people lies in the Constitution of the United States, and in the State Government’s of the various individual States.

Take that power, use it to regain control of the Federal Government, reinstate a Government of the people, by the people, and for the people,

Otherwise the Handwriting on the Walls of History will have one more name added to it.

The Weekend Of 9/11/2009 – Eight Years Later . . .

Did anyone notice it?

The passing of eight years, only this passing had some significance. Well, for some at least it did.

To President Barack Hussein Obama it was his self_proclaimed “National Day of Service”. With nary a mention of what had happened eight years ago, he set out to garner support for his plan for the government takeover of our health care industry from all his Obamatron Sheeple in and around Chicago and the rest of the mid-west.

Little or nothing came out of Congress this weekend either. I do not remember seeing a single news item about anyone from the Senate or the House of Representatives marking this day at all.

I did catch most of Glenn Beck’s show on FNC Saturday about the Tea Party March on Washington DC. I also watched his emotion laden show on Friday when he voiced his indignation of still having nothing but a very large hole in the ground at ground zero eight years later. I am kind of wondering why all New Yorkers haven’t just about rioted over that matter, but then I am not a New Yorker so I do not hold it against them for not demanding that something be done. I am sure that they have good reason to not be upset about it like Glenn Beck is although I haven’t a clue what that good reason could be.

This weekend we had some rather high winds at the old Rancho-Costaplenty and my flagpole mount came loose from the house and now I have to re-mount it in another place that will be sturdier and not let the mounting screws rip loose. I will do that on Monday.

I did notice that people are still saying the Pledge of Allegiance with as much fervor as they did right after the attack as I attended a Community meeting on Saturday morning.

The NASCAR regular racing season came to an end. The “Chase for the Cup” begins next weekend.

My Seattle Seahawks won their regular season opener rather handily on Sunday afternoon.

And the Space Shuttle landed at Edwards AFB in California. They brought “Buzz Lightyear” back from his 15 Month stay on the International Space Station.

Did I mention that thousands upon thousands of people peacefully protested all around this country while still being ignored by the mainstream news media? They are protesting our governments planned takeover of the healthcare industry and our governments uncontrolled and seemingly never ending spending spree.

Did I also mention that all these peaceful protesters are STILL being ignored by President Barack Hussein Obama and the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives and the mainstream news media?

It seems to me that “We The People” mean just about as much to them as what actually happened on 9/11/2001.

A mere eight short years ago.

Did anyone other than I notice that?

Details of a revamped version of the Cybersecurity Act of 2009 emerged late Thursday, months after an initial version authored by Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.V., was blasted in Silicon Valley as dangerous government intrusion.

"In the original bill they empowered the president to essentially turn off the Internet in the case of a 'cyber-emergency,' which they didn't define," said Larry Clinton, president of the Internet Security Alliance, which represents the telecommunications industry.

"We think it's a very bad idea ... to put in legislation," he told FOXNews.com.

Clinton said the new version of the bill that surfaced this week is improved from its first draft, but troubling language that was removed was replaced by vague language that could still offer the same powers to the president in case of an emergency.

"The current language is so unclear that we can't be confident that the changes have actually been made," he said.

The new legislation allows the president to "declare a cybersecurity emergency" relating to "non-governmental" computer networks and make a plan to respond to the danger, according to an excerpt published online — a broad license that rights experts worry would give the president "amorphous powers" over private users.

"As soon as you're saying that the federal government is going to be exercising this kind of power over private networks, it's going to be a really big issue," Lee Tien, a senior staff attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, told CNET News.

A Senate source familiar with the bill likened the new power to take control of portions of the Internet to what President Bush did when he grounded all aircraft on Sept. 11, 2001, CNET News reported.

Spokesmen for Senator Rockefeller and the Commerce Committee did not return calls seeking comment before this article was published.

But Rockefeller, who introduced the bill in April with bipartisan support, said the legislation was critical to protecting everything from water and electricity to banking, traffic lights and electronic health records.

"I know the threats we face," Rockefeller said in a prepared statement when the legislation was introduced. "Our enemies are real. They are sophisticated, they are determined and they will not rest."

The bill would also let the government create a detailed set of standards for licensing "cybersecurity professionals" who would oversee a single standard for security measures.

But many in the technology sector believe it's a job the government is ill-equipped to handle, said Franck Journoud, a policy analyst with the Business Software Alliance.

"Simply put, who has the expertise?" he told FOXNews.com in April. "It's the industry, not the government. We have a responsibility to increase and improve security. That responsibility cannot be captured in a government standard."

Clinton, of the Internet Security Alliance, praised President Obama's May science policy review, which he said would take cybersecurity in the right direction by promoting incentives to get the private industry to improve its own security measures.

But he faulted the Senate bill, which he said would centralize regulations for an industry that is too varied to fall under the control of a single set of rules without endangering the economy and security.

"We think a lot of things need to be done to enhance cybersecurity," he told FOXNews.com, but this bill is "not something that we could support."

What is happening to us, America? What has transpired that is making so many people BELIEVE that Socialism and Fascism and even Communism is much better than this Republic that our military veterans, forefathers and ancestors fought and sacrificed so much for?

What is it that is making so many of us actually want our government to babysit us from the cradle to the grave. Telling us that we are just way too stupid to make decisions for ourselves as to when to see a doctor, which doctor to see, and when we should just give up and die.

Even though I cannot ever begin to fathom the attitude of so many of us that believe that government should guarantee medical health care to each and every one of us, wether we worked for it or not. That so many of us now believe that the government owes us money we never worked for when we refuse to go out and find a way of paying our own way through this life.

Where did all this dependency attitude come from?

Did it begin in our public schools way back in the early seventies when school districts began mandating that children be not failed in order to save their self esteem even though they have not achieved the necessary skills to advance to the next level of instruction?

Or did it begin way back in the early 1930’s when government started giving handouts called welfare to those who could not find a job, no matter if they were looking for work or not?

Did it begin with the passing of the Social Security Act that was originally meant to be an assisting device to help one supplement his/her retirement nestegg, but actually started paying out full benefits to people just one month after it was signed into law thereby making it a deficit spending agency from its very beginning to the almost devastating tragedy that it is today?

What happened to that pioneer spirit that won the west by people actually walking alongside their Ox driven covered wagons across the central plains and through the Rockies to the Pacific shores?

What happened to the country that men like my Father-In-Law volunteered to go forth into harms way to fight off the armies and navies of the Imperialists and Fascists and Nazis? Where are those who have that grim determination to sacrifice whatever it takes to preserve and defend these United States Of America from all enemies foreign and domestic?

Today. This very day. Up in Washington, District of Columbia, there is a very large group of people that is doing their level best to usurp the Constitution of the United States of America. They are doing their level best make all of us believe that we cannot possibly live without their brand of un-American government.

And to listen to the mainstream news media, there is an overwhelming majority of American citizens that are of voting age who are demanding that this is the very kind of government that we actually want and believe in.

What are we doing, America? What in the Sam Hell are we doing?

A couple of years ago my wife and I spent some time at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. We took the self guided audio tour. It took us an entire day driving around to all those places where good men sacrificed their very existence for the kind of freedom that they believed in with all their heart and souls.

Over one half million Americans died on that battlefield. They died for no other reason than their own personal belief in what they perceived as freedom.

Now today, am I supposed to believe that we Americans – the very descendants of those selfless men of Gettysburg – not only are willing, but actually want to give up our freedom for a few dollars a month in government dole?

Am I supposed to accept that the children and grandchildren of those who went forth in harms way to save the world back in WW2, actually want that very brand of Socialism and Fascism to now rule their lives?

I was told today by an old WW2 vet that he wished he would have died in that war than to live to see what is happening in this country today!

All I can ask you is . . . JUST WHAT IN THE SAM HELL ARE WE DOING?!?

Two Of Our Country’s Natural Wonders . . .

Every few years we take a trip somewhere around this Nation of ours to a place we have never been before. This usually coincides with one of our wedding anniversaries. This year was our 40th, and this year we went to the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico and the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest in Arizona – Both are in the National Park System, and both are a sight to behold!

Let me warn you all that there is no amount of photographs that can ever do justice to either of these places. To be able to reel in the actual natural beauty of these wonderful American National Parks, one should always see them with your own eyes. I urge all who read this blog to go to as many natural wonders in this country of ours as you possibly can, only then can you appreciate the value of our country in terms other than our politics or our people.

Now, having said that, let me show you a few photos that I took on this trip.

The gaping mouth of the Cavern as seen as you prepare to enter.

From the inside looking up and out as we descended into the cavern. Those birds are cave swallows, and they live and nest just inside the mouth of the cave.

One of the good things to come out of Hollywood is the lighting system inside the cave, this done by a theatrical lighting expert throughout the entire Cavern – except for the bat cave – which gives a visual perspective of what a Cavern is that no camera could ever capture. You just gotta see it for yourself!

The enormity of the Cavern can be seen in the contrast of these ladies as they descended behind us. They are of average height and the top of the cave towers above them. Note the handrails, as the entire Cavern has paved walkways with handrails throughout.

The handrails and paved walkways that a I mentioned above. As you can see, there are places that even I had to duck to get through.

This is a typical sight throughout the Cavern. Note the lighting near the bottom of the picture. I cannot praise that unknown lighting expert enough. This something one MUST see with one’s own eyes to really appreciate.

Although we took the self guided tours with the walk down and the part of the Cavern known as the Big Room(they have these numbered stops and an accompanying audio info thing we rented), we also took the Ranger Guided Tour of the Kings Chamber. This is our Ranger as he prepared us for the tour. These Rangers are very knowledgeable and they love to impart their knowledge when asked. I urge all those who go to ask many and every question you can think of, they really enjoy answering questions.

Now for the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert . . . .

Just 16 miles east of Holbrook Arizona on Interstate 40, old Route 66, lies another magnificent natural wonder of our great nation. Again I say that no amount of photographs can ever do this place justice.

As far as the eye can see . . . . . . . .

Some may call this the brush strokes of Mother Nature, and others say it is the handiwork of God Himself. The Painted desert is truly an awesome sight indeed. We took three days to take it all in.

Again, we purchased an Audio Tour that took us to numbered stops along the way and gave us the history of the area and set us up for the walking paths. Take a lot of water with you as this IS a desert, warm and dry.

The petrified logs – This one looks like it is sawed into sections, but it is actually naturally broken into these neat pieces – are everywhere, but remember that it is a federal crime to remove them from a national park.

Look closely at the picture above. What looks like wood chips is actually tiny broken pieces of the petrified logs that were broken off during a flood over a million years ago. But then, I am told, that people actually used dynamite to blow up some of the logs to get the quartz crystals out of the centers – this actually destroyed the crystals that they were trying to get. Greed gets you nowhere.

In nearby Holbrook is the Wigwam Motel. Yes, it is a real Motel that you can rent a Wigwam to spend the night in. Yes, those are real antique cars parked all around the place.

As you can see, it is quite a sprawling place. I recommend it if you have children as it would give them something to talk about at “show and tell” when they go back to school.

There you have it. That is all the pictures I am going to bore you with today. If you want to see more, then schedule a trip of your own and take a good look at the physical worth of this country of ours. It is priceless in both memories and value. This nation really is worth saving!

These things have been in the news as of late;

Farmers in India have asked their unmarried daughters to plow their fields in the nude in order that the rain gods would see them and be enticed to make it rain so that they may have a bumper crop this year . . . I just wonder what kind of a “crop” those farmers are looking for!?

There’s this guy in Ohio who transformed an old church into a workout center that he has named “Faith Gym” . . . However he has the main workout area designed in a Superman motif. Oh yeah.

Forty years after receiving his c-ration pound cake, a retiring Army Colonel opened the can and began consuming it. He said it tasted just as good as it did forty years ago . . . Now THAT’S something these so-called modern day soldiers can’t brag about with their tasty new MRE’s!

In Tokyo Japan the railroad workers who have to deal with the public MUST pass the “Smile Test” each and every day before they are allowed to go to their jobs . . . Now that’s something that I would like to see here in the States!

The recent visit of the Oscar Mayer Weiner Mobile to the State of Hawaii was not a good thing, according to one group of law watchdogs . . . It seems that vehicular advertising is not allowed in the Aloha State.

During the entire two years that Barack Hussein Obama campaigned for the U. S. Presidency he had been touting that there was a health care crisis in this country.

That was and still is an outright lie.

This country has almost 300 million people in its population and well over three quarters of the population is covered by some kind of health care plan. That is well over 250 million people out of 300 million, which leaves much less that 50 million uncovered by any health care plan. I don’t know about you, but that does not look like any kind of a crisis to me.

However, at the rate of the “stimulus” bailout and cap-&-trade caused job losses we just may be heading for much more of the population losing their health care coverage than we would have if government would have kept their hands out of private businesses. But that is an item for future articles.

Here is the ugly truth about “Obamacare” in all its glory . . . ;

First you all MUST understand one very important thing about any government – BEFORE GOVERNMENT CAN GIVE ANYONE ANYTHING GOVERNMENT HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO TAKE SOMETHING AWAY FROM SOMEONE ELSE!

Do you understand that?

NOTHING THAT GOVERNMENT GIVES YOU IS FREE!

Someone has to pay for it. Pure and simple. Someone has to pay for your so-called “free” healthcare. Nothing that government gives you is free because government has taken something from someone else to pay for what government has given you.

I really do hope that you understand that. It is extremely important that you understand that. As a matter of fact your very life depends on you understanding that.

Here’s why: The great majority of this country’s population just happens to be the so-called “Baby-Boomer” generation. That means that we were born just after or during WW2. We are rapidly becoming the Senior Citizens of America – in other words we are now retiring at an ever increasing rapid rate, which means that our income tax contributions are dwindling and our Medicare costs are rising along with our increasing Social Security payments.

Do you get that? We “Baby-Boomers” are no longer paying for Social Security – Social Security is now starting to pay US!

So just who do you think is going to pay for “Obamacare”?

Have you heard the talk about how Obamacare is going to be distributed? Did you know that in Obamacare life isn’t going to be so precious anymore once you get past a certain age? That is right, folks, only our wonderful Obamacare bureaucrats have not yet figured out at just what age that might be. I hear that the age of 70 or maybe 75 just might be the age at which “free” Obamacare will be cut off. If you don’t believe that, then just do some little research on your own and google the speech that Obama made fairly recently in which he stated that the elderly will just have to admit that all the aches and pains of growing old will just have to be tolerated without a doctor tending to them.

Heartwarming thought, isn’t it?

Your Messiah really does care about you, well, at least until you are “no longer a productive member of society” at which point you might as well die.

Soylent Green, anyone?

Does anyone remember that little fubar about having our wounded veterans find their own secondary insurance a short while back? Did you really believe that he was actually serious about that? I didn’t. I knew that it was just a trial balloon to see what we all thought of our veterans getting healthcare benefits for life for serving our country for 20 or 30 years and surviving any wars that just happened to be around during our tenure of service. I just happened to remember another Democrat President by the name of Jimmy Carter that declared that all military retirees who lived long enough to draw Social Security and any other retirement benefits were “Double Dipping” and shouldn’t get either their Social Security or military retirement checks, even though they had actually EARNED them! I think that Obama is starting to sneak that sort of thing into his Obamacare Plan that is now up for discussion and will be up for a vote pretty darn soon – maybe during the Sotomayor confirmation hearings that all the news media will be concentrating on very loudly in order that “We The People” will not be paying attention to what they are doing behind our backs right under our collective noses!

Remember what I said about government taking from someone else before it can give anything to anyone?

We Baby-Boomers have been paying for every social program that the government has instituted ever since we began entering the workforce way back in the 1960’s. Even those of us who have never served in the military have been paying.

Now we are going to pay for the younger generations Obamacare. How? With diminished and denied Medicare and Social Security. How do I know this?

BEFORE GOVERNMENT CAN GIVE ANYTHING TO ANYONE, GOVERNMENT MUST FIRST TAKE SOMETHING FROM SOMEONE ELSE!

Oh, and here’s a thought for you younger generations . . . Who will pay for Obamacare after all of us WW2 Baby-Boomers are gone?

Times are hard, folks, and during hard times we all must make some pretty tough decisions. Nothing comes easy, especially during hard times.

We are just going to have to make the tough decision that we do not want all those social programs that the Messiah promised during his two year campaign for the Presidency.

If we take the easy way out, we are going to have a train wreck like the world has never seen before. If you think times are hard now, just you wait till Obama gets all of his wishes and we all are on the government dole, begging each and every month for our little portion of his brand of “Soylent Green” . . . . .

Or lining up to enter the arena to watch the end flight of blazing glory for all those who have finally reached the age of no longer being productive members of society . . .

Isn’t the thought of Obamacare just wonderful?

The Problem With Politicians, Role Models, Idols, Icons, And Entertainers . . . . .

Lets start with entertainers. Entertainers, by virtue of the extraordinary talent that allows them to do whatever it is that they do, have no choice but to be eccentric extroverts. In a nutshell, that explains why the late Michael Jackson was the way he was – “Wacko Jacko”.

That eccentricity is what made him such a good entertainer, and such a horrible role model for the average kid to want to follow. I believe that, like most other entertainers, Jackson was hooked on something, either prescription drugs or something else that has not come to the light of day as yet, but something nonetheless.

Look at other entertainers that have been idolized in the past;

Jimmie Hendrix – died as a result of an overdose of drugs.

Marylyn Monroe - died from an overdose of prescription drugs.

Elvis Presley – Same as Marylyn Monroe.

Mama Cass Elliot – death due to drug overdose.

Kurt Kobain – committed suicide while high on drugs.

Janis Joplin – death due to drug overdose.

That is just a few of the more famous ones out there. The gutters are lined with the wasted bodies of those who never made it to the big time, but got caught up in the drug craze of their so-called idols.

Certain sports figures also come to mind, like;

Michael Vick – convicted of running a dog fighting arena.

Steve McNair – murdered by his mistress while cheating on his wife.

I could go on with the other sports figures that have taken performance enhancing drugs in order to set records in their respective sports, who have been caught cheating on their wives, gambling against their own teams then doing their best to make that team lose for their own monetary gain, and acting like complete idiotic fools in public just to be the center of attention.

Let us not forget the political figures who have sought to be idolized while secretly doing drugs (Marion Barry – the DC Mayor), cheating on their wives (Bill Clinton – our President) and many other political figures that have committed various sundry and notorious things.

Why do we Americans insist on putting these people on a pedestal? Do we secretly wish to be as despicable as they are? Do we want our children to grow up to live in such a disgusting world as that of the drug addict? You know something? I really do not believe that is what we want to be like or our children to be like, I really don’t.

All we have to do is look around us for the real role models. They are everywhere;

Policemen who put their lives on the line for the average run-of-the-mill person on a daily basis.

Firefighters who enter into burning buildings to save people they do not even know.

Doctors who perform hour upon hour of meticulous surgical procedures just to make someone feel a little better or remove a cancerous tumor.

Paramedics are another type of hero that most of us take for granted.

Even the grocery clerk and stock person who see to it that we have everything we need to sustain our lives right at our fingertips.

All we have to do is open our eyes to the everyday world around us to see those who make our lives possible, tolerable, and livable. They do their thing day in and day out without any fanfare at all, and most of us do not even appreciate their effort at all – let alone notice that they are there.

Yet when someone can sing, dance, play a musical instrument, act, or play a game we idolize them and put them on a pedestal just like we do some politicians – and just like most politicians, a good number of these entertainers do nothing more than let us down in the end . . . and we still idolize them.

Yet we ignore the real everyday heroes who are out there doing what they do each and every day without fail.

We even ignore our military men and women who put themselves in harms way – just like firefighters and police officers – so that we may have a better and safe life to be lived in relative freedom.

Yet we idolize the politician and entertainer who would be most delighted if we Americans gave up our freedom to live in poverty and tyranny while they lived high on their pseudo ivory pedestals.

I know that it is puzzling, to say the least. But that is what we do, we Americans, we just continue to make the destructive political and entertaining lifestyle our role models, idols and icons.

And that is the entire problem out of its nutshell.

Wisdom of the past speaks to the situation of today!

They could be writing about what is happening today, right now, right here, to us.

There are many others who wrote of the tyranny of the past, but these two seem to be speaking to us from their graves decrying what is taking place under our noses in a ghostly warning that is eerie at best, foreboding at worst. It is almost like they were seeing into the future, but we know better – IT IS HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF!

Did you know that the war for our independence was brought about by nothing but the King of England trying to raise certain taxes in the colonies in order to pay for the French & Indian war that was fought by British soldiers on the colonies behalf? The King did not ask the colonies permission to raise their taxes – just like Barack Hussein Obama’s “Cap & Trade” bill that has so many hidden new taxes in it that if they were removed it most likely would only be ten pages long . . . Well, maybe not that extreme, but extreme nonetheless!

And what do we do about it? We gush out our love for the Messiah Obama and his little Obamatrons in the House and Senate, that's what.

If you are not going to pay any attention to what I have to say, then at least pay attention to what Alexis de Tocqueville and C. S. Lewis had to say about the tyranny of the past, and compare that to what is happening right now, right here, to us.

IT’S THE BATTERED SPOUSE SYNDROME IN ITS MOST DISASTROUS FORM!

Ask any cop.

They have seen it more often than not. When called to the scene of a domestic dispute, separating the arguing couple and figuring out who is the one doing the assaulting, then being lambasted by the other spouse for taking away her/his lover.

It happens all the time.

More often than not, the battered spouse returns to the batterer, refuses to testify against the one who beat the living daylights out of them, all the while professing their love for the batterer with the accompanying statement that he/she just can’t live without the batterer whom they love without end.

The abuse continues to escalate over time.

Until, in the end, one of them kills the other.

This scenario does not change, has not changed in thousands of years.

It always ends the same.

One kills the other.

Always, without fail.

Unless, of course, the battered one realizes that this really isn’t love. Unless the battered one understands that love really was not meant to be painful, that real love is joyful, wonderful, and pain free.

When the battered one leaves for good, never to return, then the scenario changes and much for the better. But that rarely ever happens, because the battered spouse syndrome is usually a suicidal/homicidal affliction.

As I watch the daily News reports on what the currant group of politicians that reside up in Washington DC are up to, I observe the faces of the News reporters. I see the classic symptoms, I see the almost imperceptible winces of pain as they report on the Cap And Trade Bill, the stimulus bailouts, the now mandatory national health care plan, the government takeover of private businesses.

And still they profess their undying love to the Messiah like the dutiful little Obamatrons they are, carrying with them the majority of those who voted for him happily deeper into this escalating abusive “love affair”.

They do not realize that the abuses will continue to escalate, increasing in size and power until either this bunch of political elitists kill the United States of America, or the American people will arise and put an end to the continued abuses.

Remember, the scenario NEVER changes.

EITHER THE ABUSER KILLS THE ABUSED, OR THE ABUSED KILLS THE ABUSER!

UNLESS THE ABUSED LEAVES THE RELATIONSHIP PERMANANTLY AND NEVER RETURNS!

The high cost of winning,maintaining and sustaining freedom

As we sit in our comfortable homes and watch our big screen high definition televisions and gripe about how our government is not listening to us, a few people in a far off land take to the streets against a very oppressive theocratic dictatorial government to protest what they think was an election fraudulent in its outcome. These folks are risking sure death and even torture to attend this protest if caught and taken into custody.

And for what?

For nothing more than to have a say in which of the two hand picked candidates should hold the office of President in that far off country.

What is a Theocratic Dictatorship?

It is a country run by a supreme religious ruler, and in this case he runs his country with a very heavy hand. That religious ruler is never selected by the people of that country, he (and it shall always be a he) is selected by his cronies – fellow religious leaders who are of the same oppressive religion and a like mind as the others.

This religious leader selects who can run for what office and who cannot, and in this case he decides who will win the elections. It is no secret throughout this country that this is how their country is run.

So why are these people protesting?

They are protesting for nothing more than to have their votes count. That is it, nothing more and nothing less. They all know who they voted for, and they all know that the supreme religious leader said that the one that they did not vote for won the election in a landslide just four hours after the polls closed. That is their protest and that is why they are rioting and risking their lives and livelihood. The news has reported that the family of one of the protesters who had been killed by government militia has now been kicked out of their home by the government, and still the others continue to take to the streets in even more protests.

For nothing more than to have a say in which one of the supreme religious leaders hand picked candidates gets to hold that office.

That isn’t even a speck of dust of the freedom that we in this country still enjoy.

Yet, here we sit, griping and groaning about how our government continues to ignore us and do whatever it wants in spite of our peaceful tax day tea party protest. We do this as we sit in front of our high definition televisions, watching “so you think you can dance” and other pseudo reality programs and eat our fattening foods, snacks and beer and belch out a tear or two at the news that Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson all passed away this week.

We citizens of the United States of America have long forgotten about the high cost of maintaining and sustaining our freedoms that were guaranteed us in our Constitution almost two hundred and thirty three years ago by a group of men who in their time were just like those protesters in Teheran Iran – Angry that they could not have a voice in what their oppressive government was doing to them and who could rule in their government.

How soon we forget.

In the vast course of Human History, two hundred and thirty three years is not even a blink of an eye.

How soon we forget.

We The People of these United States of America need only to look toward those desperate and brave protesters in the Theocratic Dictatorship of Iran to be reminded as to how precious and fragile freedom is, and how much the cost of winning, maintaining and sustaining that precious freedom really is.

They are willing to pay their price, for just a smidgeon of a hint of freedom.

How soon we all have forgotten!

What the heck is going on here?

Today my wife and I had a small spat(something that has been extremely rare in our 40yrs of marriage), and which I did not assert myself as to what my feelings were. I did so on purpose, for the sole reason that I suddenly became aware that her attitude was in fact what was actually happening with the great majority of the population of not only the United States of America – But the ENTIRE POPULATION OF PLANET EARTH!

People are tired. Pure and simple, people are tired of fighting “City Hall”. People have developed a Laissez-Faire attitude toward everything political in general and they are not going to pay attention to what the politicians do any more until it directly affects them.

What was this spat we had? It was about something that Glenn Beck was saying about our government spending and being out of control. My wife looked at me and said, “So what? We all write to them and they just ignore us and do whatever they want! Look at what they said about the Tea Party we attended, they just wrote us off as right wing radicals spouting off and did nothing about what we were protesting about! So what good does it do for us to protest, they will just ignore us again and do what ever they want! Why bother at all?”

And that, my intelligent readers, is EXACTLY the attitude that this administration wants everyone in America to adopt!

Laissez-Faire!

Or more specifically “Laissez-Faire-Et-Laissez-Passer” . . . In English – “Let Do And Let Pass”.

In other words, just let the government do whatever the government wants to do and do not bother yourself with the business of government!

We need to wake the American people up and get them involved in what this government is doing to them. I have used what happened in 1930’s Germany as an example and that hasn’t worked, I have tried to point out the similarities with the Soviet Union and that hasn’t worked, I have pointed out that all this spending will result in extremely higher taxes and runaway inflation and that hasn’t worked. I do not know what will wake these people up before it is too late, but I do know that we have to wake them up – and P.D.Q!

Maybe we need to try and wake the rest of the people on this planet up! What do you think? How could we do that? And if the rest of the people of Earth started waking up, would that cause the rest of the American people to start waking up as well?

Maybe this really isn’t just an American problem any more, maybe this is really a planetary problem!?

Does anyone remember a famous man named Alfred Gerald Caplin?

No?

Perhaps you remember what it was he created, the little community known as Dogpatch and its many memorable characters – Mainly one young man named Li’l Abner.

Alfred Gerald Caplin was known more by his artistic name of Al Capp, the creator of the Li’l Abner comic strip character of who I was a fan during my formative years way back in the late Forties and early Fifties of the 20^th Century.

Mr. Capp created many characters in that cartoon strip, one of them I remember very well. He was an imposing figure and was known as General Bullmoose. I also remember that characters most famous saying – “What’s good for General Bullmoose is good for the U.S.A.”

I recently looked up information on that character and I have discovered that the name came from an American Auto Industry giant whose former CEO had become President Eisenhower’s Secretary of defense. That Auto Industry giant was none other than General Motors, and what that former CEO had once said went something like this (I can’t remember exactly the words) “If it is good for General Motors, then it must be good for America.”

I take it that Mr. Capp didn’t like General Motors or its former CEO and maybe that is what spawned the idea of the General Bullmoose character and his favorite saying.

Okay, enough of the history lesson, now back to our 21^st Century year of 2009.

President Obama has engineered the Government takeover of General Motors, Chrysler, and several financial institutions – Moves that I believe are not only unconstitutional, but they are Impeachable acts. More on that in another post at a later date.

All these shady goings on up there in Washington DC have got me to thinking that perhaps good ol’ Dogpatch has metastasized itself into the entire United States of America with President Barack Hussein Obama as none other than General Bullmoose himself!

After all, as I remember the citizens of Dogpatch had nary two pennies to rub together, and with the President and the Congress seemingly intent on spending the U.S. into a third world country, it looks like we might as well be citizens of Dogpatch.

I mean that town had a politician that was as useless as teats on a boar hog, a town hero known for his running away from the enemy, a shifty character named Evil Eye who could destroy anything in sight, and they all drank a concoction called Kickapoo Joy Juice that was sure to knock your socks off and get you caught on Sadie Hawkins Day!

Does any of this sound familiar, Mr. & Mrs. John Q. American? Do you see what we are being turned into by this bunch of nutcases we have elected to run our once great country? Do you?

My Guide To Simple Solutions For Problems Caused By Over-Complication In Our Political System

There are problems in this country, and those problems were compounded by the over complication of everything from soup to nuts – This over complication was initially caused by those in the legal profession being given ivory pedestal status by the common man. Here is how it works;

If you have ever had to retain a lawyer for anything, and I hope that you haven’t, take out the paperwork and read it again . . . while you are reading it count how many references there are to “The Party of the first part” and other jargon that sometimes seems like a foreign language, such as “The litigants”. It is language like this that makes legal documents so cotton picking long and complicated. I once asked a good friend of mine who is an attorney just why this kind of language is in these documents. His answer was there is no other reason than to make it look like the lawyers and the judges know much more than the common man. Now before you all crucify me for that statement, think about it for a second or two. The statement “The party of the first part” can actually be replaced by a name, either of an individual or a company or an organization – but a name none the less. I have always demanded that my lawyer translate any and all documents that concern me into common language that anyone with a fifth grade education can understand and you will be surprised at just how many fewer pages of paper it takes to say the same thing that volumes used to cover!

These complicated ways have overflowed into our political system much to the advantage of the politicos who get re-elected time after time. They have used legal jargon to further their political careers over and above what the framers of our Constitution actually intended for them to be. Now it is time for the common man or as the words in the Declaration Of Independence actually describe us; “We The People” to retake control of the politicos of this nation and put things right again.

The founding fathers and the framers of the Constitution gave us all the tools we need to do this. The first steps we must take is to get the word out to each and every state in the union that we have the tools in hand to put this country back on track again, and then keep it there.

The first and strongest of these tools is in Article V of the Constitution, the article concerning amendments to the Constitution. It reads, in part, “The Congress, whenever two-thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments” (Italics and underlining are mine for the purpose of getting your attention).

With this most powerful tool, “We The People” can and should get the states to call that convention! But before we do that we must have a plan in place, and here are some ideas for that plan;

We need to repeal the 16^th and 17^th amendments and replace them with practical measures. The first being returning the control of the individual Senators to their respective State Legislators, but limit their number of appointments and limit their stature in the scheme of things, i.e., their pay and privileges and control the costs of their office operations to within a reasonable budget.

The 16^th Amendment should be replaced wit a set and unchangeable amount of earnings tax that should be an across the board type tax that all would pay, no deductions, no exceptions, no ifs ands or buts. My idea is 10% that would be locked in and unchangeable.

Another Idea I have is to abolish all political parties thereby restricting any and all candidates to run on their own ideas and merits so that the individual voter could see just who it is that they are voting for.

Still another idea is to restrict any legislation to one topic and one topic only. That would effectively end the “backdoor legislative process” for good. No more hidden “Pork Barrel” projects for legislators. Everything would be out in the open for all to see.

The last idea that I have for now is to make all Federal Judges an elective position, this to include United States Supreme Court Justices, and restrict that body of the Judicial to ruling on matters of the Constitution only. This I believe would end the currant practice of “Legislating From The Bench” as it is now called.

These things can be accomplished by “We The People” if we become organized in each and every state, not as a new political party, but as a grassroots movement such as when the tax day tea parties were organized. We common folks are what make this nation great, not the intellectual elite or the great philosophers of our time nor the political elite that now reside in our nation’s capitol. “We The People” or we the common folks of these United States of America, we are the ones who get up every morning and go to our jobs to work and make a living to feed, house and clothe our families. We are the ones who don the uniforms of our several armed forces and go out in harms way for the protection of all the people of this nation, not the political elite.

What we need to do is not hard, not complicated at all. We just need to come together and get it done.
